Now that we know what is going on and what we need to do, things are much easier. It takes me and Zeke very little time to form a plan and begin executing it.
We hold hands as we traverse the hallways of the White Castle. In a room that has a quick flow of backwards time, we wait a half an hour. There's a lot to talk about, even now that the most important things were voiced out.
"Do you think Leaf and Lizard will remember us, Zeke?" I ask. "The events of the alternative timeline happened in the future from their personal time and from the abstract personal time. But it was the same for us, and we remembered them anyway!"
"It doesn't matter if they happened in the relative future or the past. The time isn't as linear as you are used to thinking, my Maya. Didn't you understand by now? Time and space…"
