The next day,
On a Sunday.
Damon arrives at Jazz house as of 11 in the morning.
Ding ding
Jazz opens the door. She is looking all dressed. "Hey, you're here." She smiles.
"Shall we?" He asked.
Jazz nods, as she wants to leave, she feels something holding her leg, she looks down to see Dylan tugging on the hem of her dress.
"I guess we'll have to take him along." She shrugs.
Damon laughs but deep down he isn't happy because he wants to spend the time alone with her, but it's never possible when this little fella is always with her and always clinging to her.
' Gawd this is really bad, when will I ever get the chance to be with her alone.' he laments inside his mind.
"So where are we going today?" Jazz asked out of curiosity.
"Wait till we get there." He smiled at her and they left.
' He has been driving for like an hour, Dylan has slept and woke up and is asleep again, he sure knows how to sleep.' Jazz thought.
The little fella has refused to go to school, he is really scared of the outside world and is not ready to face it at all. All he wishes is to be with his Mama and nothing else.
They finally arrived after the long drive.
"We are here." Damon said.
But when Jazz looked around all she could see was woods and trees everywhere.
"Are we here for a picnic? You should have said so, then I would have brought snacks and picnic stuff." Jazz felt sad.
"Don't feel sad, it's actually not a picnic. Let's go in the woods, I have something to show you. Dylan come, I can carry you." He stretched his arm, but the little boy hid behind his mama's back.
"Mama." He mumbles.
"Oh my sweet boy, come here." She carried him as they went into the woods.
They finally got to the place Damon wanted and the scenario made Jazz to smile, she was in awe. "Wow, I have never been here before, how did you know this place?" She asked.
It's actually a waterfall, but a different one that only a few know of.
"Uh. I had a friend who told me about this place when we were little and we came here once before I left." He explained.
"So what about the friend?" Jaz was curious to know the friend, she thought it might be a girl.
"He left too, and I have not seen him ever since." He smiled bitterly.
She sighs out of relief knowing it's not a girl.
"That's sad, let's not do that right now, I really love this place. It's good, don't you like it Dylan?" She asked her little son.
"Mama likes it, so I like it." He said as he rested on her shoulder.
This little fella is really thinking of doing anything for the sale of his mama.
Jazz laughs, she really finds it difficult to make him say something without adding her into it.
Two days ago.
"Mom I love this new recipe you made, it's delicious. Baby? Don't you like it." Jazz asked the little fella.
"Mama loves it, so I love it." He replied.
Jazz was speechless
Last week
" Sky this dress will be good for the founders day coming up I love it, what do you think my baby?" She looks at Dylan.
"Mama loves it, so I love it."
Present
"Baby? Is there ever a you'll like something I don't like?" She asked him gently.
"Never." He frowns. "I'll never like what mama doesn't like and I'll never hate what mama likes. Because my mama is the best." He said.
Jazz could not help but tear up.
Damon hugs the two of them together.
"Let's sit on one of those rocks." She suggests.
She rested her head on his side shoulder as they watched the view and talked.
He made little jokes.
"You're really bad at making jokes." Jazz laughs.
"Am I?" Damon asked, looking surprised.
"But my sister never told me, this is so bad." He massaged his temple.
"You're, maybe she found it funny." She shrugs.
They both laughed, till they got tired.
"I like you. Uh. I really like you." He looks straight into her eyes.
Jazz raised her head, surprised.
"Um…"
"You don't have to say anything now." He pecks her on her lips.
She smiles and nods as she rests her head back on his shoulder.
"It's really nice here Damon, I'll love to come here another day."
"Do you want to have a little fun?" Damon asked.
"What?" Jazz asked.
"Come on, let's go."
"What about Dylan?"
"He is asleep, we can drop him home,or try to talk him over."
"Mama?" Dylan opens his eyes.
"Baby."
Damon and Jazz look at each other.
They finally got home.
"Baby, you should go and sleep, mama has to go somewhere and it's only meant for adults. mama is going to get a nice treat for you." She hugs him.
He finally nods and goes straight to her room to sleep, but in the actual sense he is waiting for her return.
She nods at Damon and they leave.
"So where are we headed?" She asked as she sipped her smoothie.
"We're headed to the bar in the north, it's really nice there." He informed her.
"Really, I've never been to a bar before. My parents won't even let me, all protective." She beams.
"Well then, let's explore baby." Damon laughed as he increased the speed of his car.
' I've never seen this side of him before. I like it.' she giggles inside.
Damon smiles, he is happy knowing she is happy that's all that matters.
....
Meanwhile,
Ella has been chanting spells ever since she woke up in the morning.
She has been out of the weather after she spoke to Damon at the founders party.
"You shouldn't stress yourself about these things." Raymond walks into the room, with a cigarette and a bourbon whiskey bottle and a small glass shot.
"Do you care for a little whiskey?" He offered.
"No love, I am just so pissed how they can have witches that are this strong, it's really frustrating." Ella breathes deeply.
"Come here baby, I hate to see you this way. I ordered your favorite cake." He said.
As she stood up from the floor and went straight to him and hugged him.
"Don't stress yourself too much. Just practice your magic daily, that's all, and you'll see the results." He pecks her cheek.
Meanwhile,
Emily has been looking for a day she will set out her escape plan, and she feels like today is the day to do that.
She leaves her room as she makes her way downstairs, luckily for her, nobody was there. But she can't use the front door.
So she decided to use the back door, and when she got out, she brought out two daggers, which she was going to use to climb the wall. She really came prepared.
She has started already, but then stopped.
"Am I really sure about this, what if he hunts me down, he'll suck me dry. I was so lucky he left me the first time. I'll have to come up with another plan, this one is not too perfect." She mumbles as she had doubts about her plan and did not want to put her life at risk, so she headed back to the house.
....
"Why didn't she leave?" Ella asked as they watched her through her magic colorful pot.
"I don't know. I should treat her well. What do you think? I know she sees us as monsters, and she wants to escape from here, maybe I need to make her more comfortable here." Raymond suggested.
"I guess so, you're not what people think you are." Ella said sadly.
Earlier,
She felt something was off in the house, that something or someone was about to leave in an illegal way.
"Ray, something is off, I feel like Emily is going somewhere."
He was about standing up, but he suddenly changed his mind. "Bring your magic pot, let's see what she is up to." He suggested.
And Ella brought it out and chanted a little spell and the picture of Emily showed up.
They watched her every movement.
"What should I do with this girl?" Raymond asked out of frustration.
Initially he doesn't even know why he is keeping her.
"Don't do anything rash, it's normal for every human, it'll take time for her to get used to us, that is supernatural." Ella said as a matter of fact.
"If you say so." He sips his bourbon whiskey.
Present,
"I'll go and see her." He stands up.
"Talk to her nicely, don't scare her any more." Ella said.
"Or I can just compel her to never think of running away ever again." He shrugs.
"No compulsions, Ray. Please." She rolls her eyes.
"Ok fine, if you say so, I am out of here." He leaves for Emily's room.
