Present,
Jazz got down from the car as she went to get Dylan who also ran out leaving Noah there, but Noah followed him.
"My baby," she hugs him. "How are you? How was your first day here?" she asked as she hugged him.
"fine." Was all he said? Jazz turns to Noah, "hello dear, are you his friend?" she asked.
"No."
"Yes."
They both answered at the same time.
"Aww, my baby made a new friend, what is your name?" she asked him.
"Noah." He relies.
"That's good, what about your parents? Who is picking you up?"
"My sister."
"Okay then, see you some other time Noah, bye." She waves at him.
He waves back at them; Dylan only looked at him and left. "I like her, she is so nice." He mumbles as he leaves.
Few days passed after the founders' party and after Dylan finally decided to go to school, all the werewolves are going to be turning on the full moon, and it's their tradition, then on normal days it's your choice to turn. And tonight is going to be that night where all will turn. Jazz and the others prepare to go to school, and she always looks so nervous on days like this. "Are you okay?" Sky asked her and she nodded. "I am fine. Do I look not okay?'' She feigns innocence. Sky didn't bother saying anything, as they left for school. They drop Dylan first before heading to theirs, Noah is already waiting for Dylan at the gate, he has been doing that ever since he started talking to him, ever since Dylan came to the school. "Hey buddy." He tries to hug Dylan who gently moves aside. "Ouch" Noah feigns pain as he tries to hug him again but this time from the back and this time he did it, due to Dylan's height. "Move." Dylan said calmly but deep. "Sorry, sorry, sorry" Noah laughs, while Dylan glares at him as they go in together.
Jazz and Sky got to class, everyone was seated already, so they went to their seats, but as Sky passed Betty she felt something strange, something that's very dangerous, it's like it's hovering around her. She paused beside Betty to memorize what she was feeling and after what it took like a few seconds she finally could detect what that is, then she went to her seat, Betty used magic to hide it from any witch from sensing it, so her friends have no idea what she is plotting tonight. Sky is lost in her own thoughts 'what is she using that thing for? Who is she going to use it on? What is her motive? Of course she has an ulterior motive." Sky kept on thinking, till after the lessons, she knows what that thing is, she knows what it's used for, but what she doesn't know is why will she want to use it on an of them when she knows the rule of the witches and when she knows how dangerous it can be on them. She looks at Betty only to see the way she is looking at Jazz, wait a minute she has been looking at Jazz ever since we came into the class. 'Yes that's it, who does she hate the most in the class? Jazz. Why does she hate Jazz the most? Because she took her position as the council president and she took her title of the year as Miss Mystic Quest on founders' day party. So she'll want revenge and you can't fight a werewolf without using magic, their bite is poisonous and only a hybrids blood can cure that, which makes the hybrids rare and wanted. But Betty can be heartless sometimes, so that's why she has this thing with her and I was able to detect that. And she will use it on someone she hates the most, oh gawd my best friend." She gasps. Jazz has been beside her in the car, and she noticed something has been off with her best friend ever since they got to class in the morning. "Sky? Are you okay? You have been off since we got to school today. Is there something going on? Something I need to know?" she asked, looking all worried. "No, everything is fine." Sky said, as she started calculating on what she is going to do about the situation at hand, it is almost night and she has no time. They got home and she went straight to her room.
Nightfall,
Betty is all set to do her work, all she has to do is go to her house, and once she turns she execute her plans, and of course she knows her house, and she has to think of how to pass all the securities, but there is no way she can do all this if her friends tag along, she has to come up with an excuse to keep them away from messing with her plan. Not long after, her friends started calling, through video calls. She took her phone immediately and went to the bed and covered herself, before she answered them. "Hey guys." She pretends to be sick.
"What happened to you?"Marceline asked.
"Not feeling quite alright." She answered.
"Do you want us to come over?" Shawty asked.
"No it's fine, I just need to rest, that's all and I will be fine." She feigns a smile. But only two of them could see through her that she is up to no good.
"So we won't do that stuff again?" Josette asked.
"It looks like it." Shawty answered.
Stella has been quiet ever since and was observing every movement Betty was making while she was talking and she knows something is off, but that's not any of her problems, and she needs to leave this call, she is tired already.
"Sorry guys, something just came up here at my end, will see you guys later." She said, And they all nodded and she disconnected.
They talked for a little before they all disconnected at their own ends. Betty sighs out of relief. "Finally, they talk too much. I just hope Marceline did not see through my act that girls' witchy attitude is really effective." She grumbles as she makes her way out, her parents are not around, they have not been around, they traveled a day after the founders' day, more reason she was able to make that potion without anyone stopping her.
Meanwhile,
Sky is looking at Jazz with a worried look. "Do you really want to go out? " She asked, and Jazz nodded. But Sky can't let that happen, she has to stay at home and turn, it's not safe for her to stay outside. Jazz goes outside as she looks at the full moon that is also looking at her, then she turns, Sky rushes outside immediately as she looks at Jazz wolf form, she's so beautiful and big with white furs and a little mixture of black furs from her forehead to her nose. And she howls up. Her omega hormones are now visible to any alpha or any werewolf that comes her way. Dylan comes down immediately and turns too, his form is black and is still little. He can smell that omega scent coming from his mama, but who cares? He doesn't care at all. And they howled together. But Junior is not with them, he is at the back of the house, he doesn't like to be seen when he is turning, so private.
Meanwhile,
Betty gets close to Jazz house, so she parked her car and came down as she made her way to the gate to try and talk to the security. She gets too close but something stops her, like a barrier spell. "Damn it." She cursed. "I should have known," she mumbles.
"Should have known what?" someone said from behind.
And that startled her as she turned to look at the person only to see Marceline. "How did you get here? How did you know I was coming here?''Betty asked as she looked behind Marceline to only see her car. "That car." She mumbled. "Thought you said you were sick? And I couldn't leave you alone, so I decided to come and see you, only to see you leaving in such a haste and I started to wonder, what could be that be to make you be in such a haste? And curiosity brought me here." She smiles.
"It's not what you are thinking right now." Betty smiles.
"What am I thinking? That you want to go against the witch rule, and use what's forbidden on them when they are vulnerable? Our ancestors made a deal, remember? What has come over you Betty? You've changed so much that I don't even know who you are any longer." Marceline at once with anger.
"But Celine ….." Betty mumbles. "I must make this plan work and it has nothing to do with how I am, I promise. Just this once please." She pleads.
"If you go through with that plan, don't come back, you might as well consider the friendship over. I'll be waiting for you at my place if you change your mind." And with that Marceline left.
Betty groaned as she kept cursing, Marceline is her only through friend and she can't go back on the plan, she has gone too far to see that it works and that annoying witch must have put this barrier spell. "I can't go back now, Marceline. You have to understand that this is my only chance to make this work, I am really sorry." She decides to bring down the barrier spell.
