A question like that was the first to be asked from the long-sleeping demon Xalgoz inside the body of the drow elf called Throkell.
"Lord Xalroz…. You have returned it…. Such a marvelous thing to happen after so long."
The demon Sannoth couldn't contain her overwhelming joy to see her demon lord master return, running toward the drow elf body he was in and giving him a hug that was not expected.
"What!? Are you grabbing me like that? Stop it, this isn't anything new, I have always come back this way."
"Xalroz…. Xalroz, Xalroz." This reaction from the demon was like that of a child who long since saw their parents.
"Would you cut it out?"
Annoyed by this behavior, he pushed Sannoth off him as she fell on her butt to the ground.
"Just tell me what has happened during my absences."
"Lord Xalroz, you don't recall the events of that great war ending."
Xalroz didn't like the response the demon made. Something did not follow like it usually does when death and rebirth for this demon happen differently thanks to an old secret he has discovered at his first turn.
"I understand this far that I have lost once again since this body I'm in looks to be different from a drow elf that is, I haven't been one for quite a time. Yet why does it feel that the process took longer than normal."
"My lord, I don't know how to tell you this as myself, not sure how your greatness could be handled."
"Spit it out now, I must know to understand the situation."
"Xalroz 1000 years have gone since your reincarnation to this world."
Knowing that news took a heavy toll on the demon lord Xalroz for so long he took to come back shouldn't have been this way. Xalroz would be reborn in a new body with his knowledge and memories of the old past taking no longer than a near year for him to fully grow into the new body.
"1000 years this can't be."
"I'm sorry my lord, but the god's you were battling had slayed your current form at the time back then, when they did instead of leaving the battlefield together they acted upon not alone doing that, but to try in erasing your soul that no more will return. When during that your soul was putting quite the fight against them disturbing the act as right then it broke into five pieces that spread out throughout this world."
"Destroying my soul that explains my long awakening in this body and the emptiness that is being felt as of now. It is of great fortune for me to even be alive again,"
Cannot bring herself to stand up again moving a little close making this time to give space for her lord.
"Even if too long has passed my lord isn't it possible for you to rebuild once again?"
"Foolish Sannoth you do not see the irony that I am in, I'm weak in this form without the rest of my soul. Not only that, there is no doubt, I no longer have power in our realms since disappearances have taken longer than normal which could mean the demons there have already done whatever their greedy desire can now be complete when I'm gone. Everything there belonging to me has been taken I bet from those who waste no time to do so."
"But surely you can find a way to retake what is lost, you always have time before."
"I can yet this time of matter is going to be very difficult to do because it is a lot of painful work on a long journey where the end is uncertain."
At that moment the sound of someone in agony takes the attention of the two where Xalroz walks over to look upon the bleeding from the side and bruised up face north girl. Lucky to be alive for about a few minutes longer until that wound is the one to take her out forever.
"Who is this human north woman, Sannoth?"
"So far to my knowledge she is called Grima and the Drow elf, that is your new body has a sort of love for each other, but thanks to being different races from each other the girl's father has already set for her to be married to another northmen. The funny thing is they are discussing the matter of running away together like a romance fairytale story."
Listening to this does help Xalroz to remember like he was there as well the memories of the old owner can be looked through the brain.
"Give the girls some of your blood."
"My lord, what did you just say?"
"Do I have to repeat my word to you or will you do as I commend?"
Even without that great power this demon still had a great influence of threatening another and will go through with it if pissed off or will do it without a care in need for a reason.
"As you wish of me, so shall I obey."
Sannoth gets down on her knees near Grima who at this moment has no clue as to what is going on being she is losing her conscience. The demon then left her right up to expose the skin of the form she is taking, having a single long claw cut across the vines where big amounts of blood come.
Something like that bothers not the demon Sannoth, what does is give this human her blood. The reason behind this is a mystery to demons until an answer is heard to clear that up.
"Drink human bliss, the lord has mercy for your life to be saved."
She grabbed Grima's hand and lifted it to the made cut having that arm press up against the mouth where the demon blood poured in going down the throat. After seconds Sannoth was done removing her arm away and letting go of the girl as her head hit a little hard to the ground.
"Lord Xalroz, may I have permission to ask a question if you are fine with it."
"Go ahead and ask the question."
"Why have I given my blood to this human girl don't tell me you want to keep her as a pet."
"Because she is going to be useful to me once, I can find what good she can be at something instead of a pet. It is too early for that and bothersome to keep alive."
A scream comes out from Grima as the two just stand there watching her going through agony and suffering because of the demonic blood flowing throughout the body pumping into those veins as they show themselves outside the body like they are about to pop out.
"Well my Lord, I don't wish to sound so sad about it, but this human girl may not make it. Demon blood isn't for weak-minded humans to handle, she would most likely die from the reaction.
"We have yet to see there is still a chance for her to make it out of this Alice, you don't know how strong certain humans can be. I witnessed it when I was among them."
They kept on watching till the end Grima proved to be the winner as the veins went away and the girl looked to be calmly sleeping now as the wound healed along with the bruise on her face as well.
"She was just lucky that is all,"
"Don't be mad about this, the girl wouldn't die because of how strong your blood was to keep this human. It would be a weakness in failing in a task like this."
Sannoth loves to hear that from her lord as the demon smiles at the sort of compliment.
"Thank you for your kind words, my Lord, my blood is strong, I don't mind if you wish to have a taste."
"Right another time where I feel like having a drink of demon blood for now I'm good."
"Yet you do understand the chances of this one becoming one like those that had demon blood in them will have the hunger for more."
Sannoth speaks a hard truth: a human drinking demon blood is a very rare case for such a being to live through it. That person is to gain benefits from the blood yet a curse at the same time being the endless desire for more of that demon blood addiction where one can't break free from it.
"And you keep on providing more to keep her satisfied for the time being."
"Must I do so my lord maybe…."
"Grima! Daughter, where are you."
A voice that was near their location drew their attention as the two were talking.
"Another human, my lord Xalroz, allows me to dispose of the insect."
"No Sannoth killing whoever is going to cause problems, just let it play as it is."
"What are you going to do? I don't wish to leave."
"Act that is a demon attack and so that's what I do don't worry you would leave me for now, but later we are to meet again as there is much to do for the future."
Sannoth obeys her master, going away while he goes down to pick up the girl into his arm, making the scene look to be him concerning a matter concerning the human female. Right then an older man shows up and seeing this a deeply concerned expression is on his face.
"Grima! Get away from my daughter elf." The man ran up to Xalroz, grabbed him, and threw him to the side to take hold of Grima.
"What happened? What did you do to her damn it."
This demon would love nothing more than to tear into human flesh, but too soon to start killing humans.
"I did nothing to her, a demon attacked out of nowhere when we were just talking alone."
"I don't believe you dirty elf, no you were trying to have your way with my daughter. Look at her clothing there, a tear in them tells that I don't speak the truth here."
"What mad reason would I have to do such a thing, I care about her greatly to not do such a horrible act."
"Shut up! I will have you punished for this, the chieftain is going to hear of this and he is going to decide your fate."
The man to be Grima's father gets carried away with her body and imminently walks in the direction leading back to their settlement.
"Great, now I already have a problem to deal with and can't get any break."
