Chapter 6 - Ch 6: Fake Grima

All were shocked to see the girl Grima in the great hall knowing she shouldn't be there. Xalroz finds this impossible since when someone drinks demon blood it takes time for one to recover from it.

Something was wrong here. The human girls shouldn't be up so soon.

"Do not worry my lord, I'm here to help you as I took this girl's form to end this nonsense."

Hearing Sannoth it is clear the demon is using a telepathic way to have a conversation with him.

"Sannoth wasn't supposed to be gone by my order."

"I was concerned about the matter of your well-being, I had to make sure that nothing will come to harm you, and when this matter of a situation arose. I knew there must be a way for me to assist you my lord and here is the reason for me to take this form of the girl."

Xalroz can get upset for being disobeyed, but this action will certainly be in his favor.

"Very well keep going."

"Thank you, my lord."

Sannoth stops the conversation right on time as Hjoy the father of the real Grima quickly place hands on both side arms.

The demon had to keep her acting together regardless of the feeling of having this taken apart from touching her.

"Daughter, what are you doing here, you should be in bed with the slaves not out."

"It's fine father, I'm well enough and here to help Thorkell. I want to make sure this stops once and for all because of your overwhelming false accusation of him."

"You are not saying there was a demon that attacked you and him."

"Of course, that's what I'm saying father, and look at how my clothing has claw marks on them."

The fake Grima left up her dress to show the claw marks to all there to get a good look at the claw marks that are deep enough to see the part of her thighs barely covered by it.

"And this is from a demon, not just a wide animal you two could have encountered instead like a wolf or a bear for that matter."

The chieftain advisor asked as the possibility of that isn't far from happening.

"We weren't that far away from the settlement and besides we were alone there was none to be seen."

"So far from this, you two have a secret discussion out there only to soon be under attack by a demon randomly out of nowhere disguised as a human. Bliss by the gods of such luck the creature stops by hearing a voice of Hjoy your father seeking for you."

This advisor wasn't too convinced by the half-truth and lie story, but it won't be important to listen to his opinion on this since the people are already concerned about the demon. Even the chief also seems to care about the demon problem, so there is no way for this to hear him out.

"So truly a demon is out there hanging around until it can find a new victim and this time will not let go away."

The chieftain spoke as the man got up from his chair to stand and keep on talking to his people.

"So I have decided this trail no longer has to go on. It seems that Thorkell hasn't done any crime from what I'm hearing so far and so he is innocent of the false calm from Hjoy bringing this to an end. Now on the subject of demons out there we should be more worried about and will have to keep a watchful eye out for any sign of the creature. If any of you catch sight of it, alert the others do not engage with the demon unless you wish to have a painful death."

"But chieftain…."

"Hjoy enough get over it you and your daughter can talk about this other matter at your home in your time. I for one don't give a fuck to hear about it whatever else you have to say where it going to no mean nothing at this point you got it."

Hjoy shut his mouth having to accept the loss of this trail and wanting no interest to get the chieftain piss off the man.

Xalroz was so pleased to be the victor that he couldn't help to show a smile for the man to see for extra enjoyment. Hjoy saw getting pissed about that smug expression but held back from doing anything that can bring punishment.

Sannouth also shares in it, but only on the inside having to still play the daughter of this Northman.

"Alright everyone you may go about your business yet not you Thorkell, I wish to have a private talk with you myself.

Everyone starts to leave Hjoy with his fake Grima who talks to Xalroz telepathically to him.

"Lord Xalroz."

"Go keep playing along until returning to their home once they quickly work to miss with the father and whoever else is their memory understood."

"I would rather kill them all, but I shall obey my lord."

They speak to each in their minds shortly till it ends and she walks away with Hjoy to do what he asks of her.

"Chieftain, if you do not mind, I would like to stay."

"Do not disobey my order, I want to talk alone with him and that will happen if you get it. Stop acting like a worried father as nothing is going to happen to Thorkell you have my word."

Lorthr had a concern, but he could not go against the leader of this settlement unless facing trouble. So he places a hand on Xalroz's shoulder for a moment as the two look at each other. The man nodded at him and started leaving the great hall with his two sons.

Now the great hall has become empty. There wasn't anyone else, no locals, servants, or even the chief wife and children, just him and Xalroz alone.

"I can understand your wish to go home right now, but I thought having this talk was important where it is clear what the subject is going to be about."

"Let me guess about me being an outsider, a Drow elf who is not welcome here."

"Yes, that is even if I have said you're one of us yet my wife does have a point about you earning a place with the people."

"Seems to me it's more about the lady not liking me for what I am and that her daughter couldn't keep those eyes off me."

The chieftain laughs at what he just heard come out of the elf's mouth showing to take it in a different reaction.

"Careful now you don't want my wife to hear what you just said."
