For starters Jasmine wasn't expecting the scan to be completed at a fast rate, she had estimated the scan would take some days to finish. Due to the planet's time measurement not completely transcribed, she didn't know how the orbit of the planet worked, this was key in calculating time metrics.
A planet like this was different from earth, with only a few similarities to be taken note of. Strangely the light and darkness of the world was determined by two space bodies that orbit each other, interchanging it's attributes at intervals of it's orbital points.
Maybe that was the reason for the strange attributes of the planet. The weather would often change, in different parts of the planet, it was like the planet was adapting to the constant motion of the crescent and star body revolving around each other.
The planet was beaming with intense dark energy, and the two celestial bodies in the sky could be blamed for this. Their energy would be absorbed by the planet, and if one was stronger than the other the energy would be mixed in, distorting the balance of their revolution, and in the this case, it felt like the crescent moon energy was stronger than the star's.
The creatures on the planet relied on the energy of these two celestial bodies. They were embodiments of the strength of the energy given from the two planetary bodies. The creatures were versatile in strength and adaptation, a mix of different breeds constantly adapting their bodies just like their planet was adapting to their source of energy.
The creature the group consumed, a mix of a spider, an octopus and a leash. Its beak was five and they were glowing red beaming with energy, an absorption of the energy of their Alpha and Omega.
The energy was even enough to force outside bodies to adapt to its essence, no wonder Ivy was still cultivating right now, her eyes had been closed in concentration for one interval shifts of the crescent moon and star, presumably a complete day on the planet.
She was still attuning to the energy even now that they were about to cross a black coloured flowing river. They were redstone in the water and crossing would be by just leaping on the stones in the water. They were red, it meant they had energy and Xadia quickly warned.
"The stones are red, doesn't that mean something, it's either a creature with red bodies, we might need to run over the stones to cross the river. Tyson can avoid the stone's, hecan take someone with him to cross, and since Ivy's cultivating he should take her first.
"This is great, we're now assuming everything is dangerous," Tyson blurted out.
"We don't have to go through this again, you heard what she said, we should be cautious," Jake reminded.
"I know but what could water redstones possibly do to us," Tyson said, he pointed his hand out to levitate one of the red stones, and as soon as his telekinesis force touched the stones, it inflated like a balloon and exploded into red bits.
Tyson got stares from his three voyage comrades.
"You were saying," Jake reproved.
"That would hurt a bee, it's like a red balloon, now tell me if that'll hurt," Tyson responded.
"It's not the stones you shybe worrying about it consumes anything that falls touches it," Jasmine demonstrated, she dipped a metal rod into the river, it felt like the water was pulling the rod into the water. Jasmine brought out the rod and showed it to them, it was rusted.
"It's a corrosion river, so yeah he's right we're running over it, you on the other hand is taking Ivy and leaping over with your familiar," Jasmine informed.
Another redstone soon popped up on the same spot of the one Tyson exploded. 'It was restored, it must be the river, is it alive?' Xadia internally thought.
Tyson moved towards Ivy and lifted her, he then summoned his familiar, and he soon siphoned his spider form, he then leapt over the river. The river was wide in range, one of his spider legs skimmed the river while airborne, and he went crashing down on the other side; He slowed down his momentum with his telekinesis, he then shielded Ivy from the crash.
"Ugh that hurts," Tyson groaned, he could feel the pain his familiar felt.
"Are you okay?!" Jasmine shouted.
"I'm fine, don't let the water touch you!," Tyson shouted back.
Jake readied himself, he went backwards and created a distance between himself and the river. He then blasted with uniform speed,he ran over the rocks in the river until he reached the other side, red explosions were the aftermath.
After a few minutes the redstones was restored.
"Come on, let's go," Jake called.
"I don't think I can do that, I'm not that fast, I'm not a siphon," Jasmine told.
"Okay, we're not doing that then," Xadia announced. He lifted Jasmine and kicked on his boots, they hovered in the air safely crossing the river.
"You have a Cr5?" Jasmine exclaimed.
"Yes, but it's a little busted, we were lucky it happened to work this time," Xadia replied.
"I can fix it, can I see it, is this the roulette design, does it have a thermal exhaust space, do you charge it?"
"I haven't really explored the sneakers," Xadia replied.
"That's great I can help you do that, we should do it right now," Jasmine obsessed.
"Aren't we supposed to be setting out camp, darkness ensues, we don't want this to be like yesterday," Tyson behoved.
"Right, I don't want another encounter with wolfbats," Jake added.
"Oh sorry, I was distracted," Jasmine pleaded and began to materialize the dome.
They went in and shared supper for the night, they soon went to sleep all but Jasmine and Ivy. She collected Xadia's sneakers to fix, well not entirely to fix it, to study it's every structure and design, to bask in the presence of a very cool invention.
It was now daylight.
"Here I fixed it, I also charged it with the teal crystal, luckily the parts that were damaged were replaceable, I also might have played with it, I hope you don't mind," Jasmine scratched her head.
"Hakuna matata," Xadia called.
"What?" Jake asked.
"Oh sorry, it means no worries, you fixed it, so I owe you either way," Xadia complimented.
"You still use those slangs, are you from this world?" Tyson teased.
Xadia gave a wry smile, it was true, he was not of this world era. 'I gotta get used to not giving out subtle jokes, they haven't watched the movie, do they even watch movies, if only Tom were here, he would have laughed, and then we'd do our Ooookaaaay slang' A smile formed on his face, he mourned.
Jake came in from the second room, he was strange, he avoid contact with the gang, but Tyson was looking at him. 'Did he?' Tyson internally thought.
"You did it again?" Tyson shouted and began to chase Jake.
"I couldn't wait, it's my own after all" Jake shouted back.
"But you didn't tell us!"
"Why should I do that," Jake shouted back.
"That was the ration for the whole day," Tyson responded.
"All of that?, It's too small!" Jake noted.
Ivy released a little bit of her energy, and the two stopped their pestering, it was a warning.
They soon went on to eat their morning food; Jake exempted.
They packed the dome, and continued their journey, they soon reached a rock slope, and a warning sound was beeping on Jasmine's watch, she stopped them immediately.
"Wait, it's a warning alert," Jasmine announced.
"What now?" Jake complained.
Jasmine then held out her watch, and brought out her holoscreen. It began to glow a clear white projection, she then moved it to scan the area, she the brought her hand to the ground; the plain white screen turned a mix of yellow color surrounded a red.
"We need to be careful here, I'm reading high heat signatures, there's definitely a creature here, be on alert" Jasmine noted.
"We should use the bait test," Xadia suggested.
The bait test was something they had come up with during their journey through the planets terrain, it involved using a live bait to test out an environment that seemed strange.
"Okay," Jasmine replied.
Jasmine summoned a creature from her holowatch, and it was a wolf bat, a creature mix of a bat and a wolf. Xadia quickly held the creature, it was struggling, and they were very fast and hard to deal with.
He then took the creature to Ivy, she placed her hand on the creatures held and siphoned a spell.
The creature was then dropped to the floor, and like it was being possesed it moved towards the rock slopes, as it touched a rock, two monstrous abomination emerged from the ground and consumed the wolf bat, it then went back to the ground.
They saw what they needed to see, and they knew this was going to be the biggest obstacle they had encounter so far.
