Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Bickering With Each Other

"Grandpa, I will also take my leave," Mira spoke politely. She bowed her head at her Grandpa.

"See you at night," Grandpa gave her a soft smile and patted her head softly.

"Bye grandpa," Mira whispered as she hugged Grandpa.

When she finally exited the villa. She shrugged her shoulder and placed her sunglasses on her eyes. As she strode towards her car, when her eyes fell on Zion who was leaning against his car.

His both hands were in his pocket. His piercing gaze could be felt through his sunglasses. Mira slowly walked towards him, crossing her both arms across her chest.

"Why didn't you left?" Mira asked as she removed her shades with her right hand.

"I was waiting for your highness ," Zion said with a mocking expression plastered on his face as he took some steps towards her.

"Whatever," Mira scoffed as she rolled her eyes. Her eyes glanced at his car, there wasn't a single scratch that she made yesterday.

"Wah, there isn't a single scratch," Mira exclaimed striding towards his car as she walked past him, examining every inch of it from left to right.

"So you admit you did that," Zion smirked as he moved closer to her and watched her inspect his car.

"I never said that," Mira snapped, turning towards him, finding that they were just inches apart.

"Wh-at are y-ou doing?" Mira asked, stuttering slightly as she averted her eyes from Zion's intense stare.

"Take aside I need to get inside my car," Zion said as he gestured to Mira to move aside.

Mira quickly stepped away from Zion and placed a distance between them. Without saying any word Zion unlocked his car and sat inside. Before starting his car's engine, Zion rolled down the windows of his car.

"If you didn't reach the company before me. You will be responsible for the consequences," Zion warned as he wore his shades on his eye sockets.

"And what will you do?" questioned Mira, as she crossed her arms and stood in front of Zion's door.

"Your memory is quite weak Mira. You are working under me. So you need my evolution before the board of directors select a suitable candidate for vice president," Zion replied as a smirk formed on his lips. Mira chuckled as she clenched her fist.

"Ah! Before driving your car please thoroughly check your car tires. It's a friendly reminder," Zion said as he pressed the button of his window glass to close before starting his car.

Mira turned towards her car after hearing his words. She crouched down inspecting the tire. The tires were punctured no, no they were punctured by Zion.

"Zion you devil!!!!!" Mira yelled, trying to run towards his car but to no avail. His car was already out of her sight.

"Shit! Shit!" Mira cursed as she ran her hand

through her hair. Her phone was vibrating continuously.

The ringtone was blasting out through her phone and it was a video call from her friends. She swiped it and picked it up.

"Hey! Mira I have good news," Lianna greeted enthusiastically.

"What happened Mira? What made you angry?" Heila asked while tilting Lianna's towards herself so that she could look clearly at Mira who was fuming.

"That Devil punctured my car's tires and ordered me to arrive at the office before him," Mira growled with a fake smile on her face.

"Oh! that's bad," Heila munched on croissant and tilted Lianna's phone back to Lianna.

"What about you Lianna? You were telling some good news," Mira changed the topic instantly.

"Yeah, Rafael asked me out. It's our 2 year anniversary of being together and I think he is going to propose me," Lianna exclaimed happily.

"Congrats!" Both Mira and Heila congratulated her.

"Finally good news," Mira smiled genuinely at Lianna who was smiling brightly.

"Ah! my teeth," Heila's voice echoed through the speakers.

"What happened Heila?" Mira was worriedly looking at Heila who was clutching her jaw in pain

"Why do you always eat so carelessly Heila," Lianna chided her Heila.

"How am I going to eat at party," Heila complained as she looked at Lianna with puppy dog eyes.

"You always think about food," Lianna responded as she tried to take a look at her mouth.

"Lianna take her to the hospital quickly," Mira instructed her friend. Lianna instantly took Heila's arm and helped her to stand up. Ending the phone call Mira placed her phone back in her pocket.

.....

Mira hurriedly stepped outside of the cab and entered the company building of company. She hurriedly placed her ID on the metal scanner. The small double door parted and allowed her inside. Once inside her feet were moving to the elevator as soon as she got inside the elevator.

Ding! Ding!

The elevator opened at her workplace. She stepped outside of the elevator. Her feet were not paying attention to where she was walking until she bumped directly into someone.

She immediately lifted her eyes and saw a familiar face. Her face turned sour when she recognized him.

"Watch where you are going Miss Mira," Zion said coldly, glaring at her with those dark brown eyes of his. Everyone who were present their stopped whatever they were doing when they heard Mira and Zion fighting again. It was almost everyday thing. They would always bicker like two children fighting for a toy.

"By the way, you are 15 minutes late Miss Mira," Zion added as he knitted his eyebrow, and crossed his arms against his chest. Mira could feel that his smirk grew larger, as his eyes locked onto hers.

"You did that on purpose," Mira accused Zion, as she folded her arms over her chest, glaring at him.

"I beg your pardon?" Zion asked, raised his brows as his lips curved into a playful smirk.

"Do you have any proof of your false allegations against me?" Zion added in his statement. He was enjoying because this time he was winning the argument. Mira clenched her fists as she glared at him, her body was trembling in anger.

"Pretend as long as you can, Mr. president," Mira responded as she pushed past him angrily, and strode towards her desk.
