Kifen ran away from the gun's range and stood at a distance. He then howled for his betas who turned towards him. He howled a long howl. The living and crippled betas receded back. John shot some more shots at those receeding betas killing some and injuring some. Yet they did not dare to attack.
John got down from the tree and shouted, "Aren't you going to attack me Kifen?"
The wolf backing off howled to the full moon. Every beta inside the forest started running away from John.
John ran after the werewolves. But they were faster.
John said, "Seriously, you're afraid of me? One single Silverarrow?"
Kifen turned back and growled as if complaining against him. Then he resumed leading his group out of the forest.
Then John smirked and shouted, "I have never seen such a coward."
Not turning back Kifen ran away.
John had expected some action in this exotic land of India, but no, he faced such a coward enemy that he could not get his heart's fill.
Salim was sobbing from behind. John turned to Salim who was sobbing near the dead bodies of the werewolves. The betas who had died, they had turned into human beings again. And Salim was sobbing near the dead bodies of his diseased friends.
