Darkness!

That's all she can see when her eyes snapped open, Narika had no idea where she was and how she got into this.

Her mind was fuzzy, and she could slowly feel the darkness seeping into her scared form, at the thoughts of being in the same place with him.

Him…He called himself Adrik, that's all she knew about him. He's nothing but a crazy stalker who invades her dreams, and is slowly starting to mess up her life.

It all started six months ago, the very first time she had encountered him was while she was sleeping.

At first she had thought that he was nothing, but silly nightmare's she gets on a daily basis, but no! It was nothing about the daily nightmare .

If anything, he was the nightmare himself, and the threat on her life for something she had no idea, that would have her seeking the help of a medium soon.

She has gone crazy, that she knew of but she's willing to walk her way through this before it gets out of hand, and everyone gets to know that  she might have gone insane.

"Hello.." She called in the dark, her voice sounding croaky and scared of what awaits her here.

She felt the goosebumps crawling up her spine, and she could feel the vomit forming in  the pit of her stomach, with each dreadful seconds that passed by when she got no reply.

Now, this was no joke, and neither was she dreaming. The young girl punched her cheeks, only to realize that this was more real than ever.

He's got her!

There's no escape from him, and neither does anyone know where she is, how could they know?

She was in nowhere land, with a crazy obsessed man that is messing with her head, who altogether has refused to reveal his intentions known to her.

This was the part where her mother would involve a shaman, and organize an exorcism to ward off any vile influence surrounding her.

She wasn't the religious type, who believed in all these superstitions about lousy traditions and stuff, but what would you have her do when her mother is Indian?

"Is anybody there?" She asked for the second time, her senses getting heightened since her sight was restricted.

With her hands stretched out, with shaky legs that moved against the floor, she realized how dire her situation was.

But the moment her hands touched a hard surface, a smile crept up her face. She took slow steps, while using the help of the wall to try to get to the door of her little prison.

But little did she know that whilst she was here struggling to get into the light.  An unamused figure was right there with her, in the same room, watching her entire moves.

He watched as the human tried her best to get to the door, but gave out an exasperated sigh of annoyance at her stupidity.

There is no door, she's stuck right here with him, in her head!

Everything isn't real, but something is, and that is him!

"Pathetic," He mumbled annoyingly, an act that proved to scare the wits of the young lady who instantly heard him, and figured out that she wasn't alone.

He's here..with her!

She backed up against the wall, she was terrified of him, the tears couldn't seem to stop when she realized who was here with her.

"What do you want with me?!"She yelled, hugging herself together and sinking further to the floor to curl herself against the wall.

A lousy attempt to protect herself, when she knew that there's no protection she had now. She didn't realize how serious the situation is, until now.

No one knew!

She should have told her parents, especially her mother about him. All these could have been prevented, but her stupidity to get to know why he was doing this to her didn't let her act smart.

She jerked when she heard his hysterical laughter, it got closer and closer until it died down.

She was scared!

Narika was greatly shaken, and terrified that trying to think that this isn't real proved abortive.

"I'm hurt, it took you a while to finally acknowledge me sweetheart." Adrik said, and watched her jerk in shock when she noticed that he was right in front of her.

What does he want from her?

Why her?

There were a whole lot of questions she had in store to ask him, all these months of her trying to get him to talk to her proved abortive until now.

What exactly is he?

A vampire?

Grimreaper?

Was he Satan himself?

"Stay aw..ay from me," She warned him, but that was plan stupid of her to do. She tried to come out so brave, but he could sense and read her well to know that it took everything in her not to pass out.

Well, he's glad about that, not everyone was that strong on their first real encounter with him.

His mother had fainted due to shock, and his sister didn't take it very well either. His father and the lowly human in front of him were the only people who didn't faint.

"Trust me sweetheart, I can't do that even if i wanted to, I will always come back looking for you," He breathed out, pushing a strand of her away from her face and tucking it behind her ear.

God!

They looked so familiar, he took notice of that and he wondered if she knew too.

He felt the urge to ask her about her, he wanted to ask her about the woman he loved.

She ought to know who she is, but he changed his mind about doing that the moment she raised her face up to meet him.

Fuck!

Those eyes!

Her brown dampened eyes, everything was the same! One would mistaken the both for twins, but Polina was a brunette while she was a blondie.

But that doesn't change the fact that she was a splitting image of her, and nothing could explain why his heart felt as if it was being ripped out at seeing her teary face.

"You are not real," She mumbled, "Get out of my head!" She clutched her hair, and shut her eyes tightly.

It was only but a dream, nothing more nothing less, she hoped that the next moment she opened her eyes would be her, either sleeping her ass off at work, or her sleeping on her bed.

But either way, she's getting away from this, away from this psycho.

"It's such a pity"He smirked, watching her mumbling things to herself, until he heard her well. She was praying.

Does she think her silly prayer to her god would stop him?!

Stupid indians!

Nothing can stop him, not even the gatekeeper to the underworld who was nothing but an accomplice in this whole act.

It took five years to break free, and come for them.  Polina's family, until he saw her.

"Wake up Narika, it's nothing but a dream," She said lastly, before Adrik got bored of her stupidity but realized that it would be more fun to do this.

"How about i give you something to dream about then?" He teased, before covering the space between them and kissed her cheeks.

He felt her stiffened instantly after what he did, but before she could react about what he had done, he was long gone.

Her eyes snapped open instantly, and she realized that she was all alone in her room, on her bed sleeping just like she had predicted.

It's nothing but a dream.

A dream which felt so real, he pecked her.

Her hands moved instinctively up, to where his mouth was on her skin not long ago, it felt so real.

Was it?

Of course it isn't!

"Narika, get your ass down here!" She heard her mother call her name from downstairs, which made the young lady realize how late she is  already for work.

"Shit!" She tossed the blanket's off her, getting ready for the day while oblivious to the note hanging on the top of her mirror.

She paved her way back into her room, and that was when her eyes took notice of it, she didn't remember placing that there.

A dreadful feeling settled upon her, even before her mind could tell her that it was him, but she confidently took her steps up and took the note up to read.

She realized that all along, it was nothing but fear that had conjured her mind to  think that Adrik is not real.

Note:

We will meet again, kitten, hopefully you won't think that I'm not real.
