Mama Xylia seemed to be on the edge ever since she had arrived. Yet, she could not blame her. She was probably worn out by all the pressure of Father Atticus's ailment.

Mama Xylia was always such a calculated person and seeing her being clumsy and cutting herself fazed Afina.
She barely touched her food while eating. The dishes ended up in the kitchen with half of her dinner in it.
After she was done eating, Afina took to watching the TV. The other girls seemed to be very well-informed than her and she did not like any bit of it.
She scaled through the programs and settled for seeing the news. The program was already going on before she tuned in to it but a topic was still being discussed.
