It could be the shock of not wanting the question to be asked – or the weight of knowing her daughter was getting suspicious of her that made Xylia chop her own finger.
"Ahhh!" she let out a painful cry as she raised up the now bleeding finger.
Baby Blue was equally shocked at the sight of the blood as she rushed to her mother.
"Oh, my! Mama Xylia!" she gasped, holding the wounded finger herself.
Xylia found herself snatching her finger away from her daughter.
She rushed to the kitchen sink and set the tap running to wash away the blood oozing out of her finger.
"I will get the petroleum jelly and adhesive bandage!" Baby Blue let out before she dashed out of the kitchen.
Immediately Baby Blue was out of sight, Xylia cupped her forehead whilst letting out a loud sigh.
Lying wasn't her thing. It was making her feel like the worst type of divine person. Her greatest fear was being found out.
