Cargan didn't want to scare Celio, nor did he want his mother to be aware that he was aware of her presence yet. He peered into Celio's eyes instead, knowing that this was goodbye.
He leaned in closer, charged by his emotions. He could see the whirlwind of emotions in Celio's eyes. With a surge of emotion, he pulled Celio close, the warmth of his friend grounding him. This was the only way to say goodbye to Celio.
Celio deserved it. And with that, he brought his lips upon Celio's blocking him from glimpsing the glow of his mother. It was a short but passionate kiss. He tasted all those years of longing in Celio's mouth. In his lips and his breath too.
"Goodbye, Celio." He whispered into his friend's mouth before bending his sand to carry Celio safely and as far away from the High House as possible.
As the sand washed him off, "Y — Your EMINENCE!" Celio cried, fighting with the sand to regain his composure but Cargan's power was way beyond his league.
