Afina's eyes brightened with gratitude as she looked up at Gia. "Thank you, Gia. You always take such good care of me. How would I have survived a day in the High House without you?" She playfully gave a cute puppy face that ended up not delivering its purpose.
"Arggh! My deity, those blue eyes of yours might swallow in my essence with that face you are making." Gia grumbled.
It somehow amused Afina as she burst into a short but loud laugh until Gia interrupted.
"Can you stop taunting me and eat your food while it's warm and nice?" She scolded, reminding Afina of Mama Xylia.
A wave of nostalgia crept upon Afin as she grinned. "Now you seem like my Mama Xylia. I should be grateful for you because I found a mother in a sister– a friend." Surprised by her own tone, Afina said.
Gia smiled, her eyes sparkling with affection. "It's my pleasure, my deity. Enjoy your meal now. No more talks."
