The question that kept on ravaging Afina's mind was where Giada could be.
"Do you have any idea where she could be then?" She turned to Giada's maid.
The latter gave a shake of her head. "No, Ms. Afina. I don't have a clue where she could be. Since we departed when she left for the party, I lost tabs on her whereabouts."
"Could Ms. Giada be really missing then?" Another maid chirped in with a shaky tone.

Before Afina could even ponder further, Gia interrupted with her own concerned tone. "She should be within the High House walls then. The new rule isn't allowing anyone out of the High House and no authorized person in too until the culprits of the murder of High House Mother Ophelia have been apprehended."
Right, the rule.
It was all because of the death of the High House Mother. Afina never thought that Prince Cargan could care so deeply for his wives since he had 50 of them.
