Ezekiel hated that new idea, he just came to realize that his parents knew that his little brother Nathan was going to die, but they brought him to life anyway .
Ezekiel was very pissed that they just never changed, they stayed the same even after all these past years .
He didn't even wait for a second, he went to the bus station and took a ticket for him and for his brother after he collected his stuff from the motel.
By doing this, he was not even sure whether they were still alive ..
There was still the idea of them being killed by the government, yet he wanted to make sure that they were dead already .
He didn't explain to Nathan what he was doing, he just kept him busy while playing with his toys all that time inside the bus .
He knew that it was not safe for him to go there after everything that happened but his anger towards them made him ditch all his precautions.
As Ezekiel prepared to descend from the bus, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as he noticed two individuals approaching him. Instinctively, he grabbed his little brother Nathan's hand tightly, ready to defend themselves if necessary.
However, as they drew closer, he noticed that the girl among them had a warm smile on her face, which somewhat eased his tension. The other person, a guy, had a cold, aloof expression that made Ezekiel wonder if he was in danger.
As they came closer, Ezekiel recognized the girl as Xylia, the same one who had delivered the heartbreaking news about his brother's condition earlier.
The other person was a stranger to him, but he remembered him as the guy who had teased him relentlessly in that house. He didn't know his name, but he knew he didn't like him.
"What are you doing here? Are you following me?" Ezekiel asked them calmly, trying to hide the fear and apprehension he felt inside.
Xylia leaned towards Nathan and pinched his cheek playfully, causing the little boy to smile up at her and exclaim, "Xylia...Xylia!"
It felt like he liked her name and so he tried to use it .
Ezekiel glared at both of them, he didn't want to move but Xylia said to him:" Please, you don't want to grab more attention in a crowded place like this "
" Tell me what are you two doing here?, " Ezekiel asked .
The guy said to him with a sarcastic smile :" Have you watched tv today ? "
Ezekiel looked at him skeptically then said :" What do you want ? "
" Your parents are all over the news, " The guy said " Well, I guess, I forgot to introduce myself that night, my name is Frank Bastas"
" All over the news? "Ezekiel wandered, completely ignoring the fact that Frank was introducing himself to him .
Xylia just grabbed Nathan's hand then said to him:" Hello little one, do you want to see something cool ? "
Xylia was taken aback by Ezekiel's sudden aggression towards her. She had only wanted to show Nathan something interesting, but Ezekiel's behavior made her realize that she had overstepped her boundaries.
She calmly tried to explain herself to him, saying, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I just thought it would be nice to show him something fun."
But Ezekiel wasn't having any of it. He had been on edge ever since they had first met, and he couldn't shake off the feeling that Xylia and Frank were somehow involved in his parents' disappearance.
"I don't care what you thought," he spat at her. "You can't just come up to us and act like you know us. You're a stranger to me and my brother, and you need to keep your distance."
Xylia took a step back, realizing that she had unknowingly crossed a line. She didn't want to upset Ezekiel or make him feel threatened, but she couldn't help but feel hurt by his words.
"I understand," she said softly. "I'll keep my distance. I didn't mean to cause any trouble."
Ezekiel released his grip on her collar, feeling a twinge of guilt for being so aggressive towards her. He didn't want to hurt anyone, but he couldn't help but feel like everyone was out to get him and his brother.
"Just leave us alone," he muttered.
As a reaction to what he did to Xylia, frank wanted to fight with him but, she just said to him:" Please keep it quiet, we are not here to fight "
Frank barely held his anger as he looked at Ezekiel as if he was about to kill him.
Xylia's smile faltered as she looked at Ezekiel, her words coming out in a soft, almost hesitant tone. "I know this is hard for you to hear, but we're not here to hurt you or your brother. Your parents, they created something that the government is calling a breakthrough for humanity. They've developed a tool that enables the government to detect the location of individuals with special abilities, those with what they call 'supremacy signs'."
She paused, noticing the anger and confusion in Ezekiel's eyes. "Look, I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but you have to understand that this is a big deal. The government is taking this very seriously and your parents are at the center of it all. We just wanted to warn you and give you a chance to prepare for whatever comes next."
Ezekiel was caught off guard by Xylia's words. His mind was racing, trying to process the gravity of what she had just said. He looked at her skeptically, wondering if she was playing some sort of sick joke on him.
But Xylia's eyes were sincere, and her voice had a sense of urgency to it. Frank, on the other hand, was glaring at Ezekiel, still angry about what had just happened with Xylia.
"What are you talking about?" Ezekiel asked, his voice trembling slightly.
Xylia took a deep breath before continuing. "Your parents have created something that allows the government to track people with signs of supremacy. It's a very important development for the government, and they're praising your parents for their work."
He looked down at Nathan, who was still holding Xylia's hand, completely unaware of the weight of the conversation happening around him.
"Why are you telling me this?" Ezekiel asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Because we thought you deserved to know," Xylia said, her eyes locked on Ezekiel's.
Ezekiel felt a surge of emotions bubbling inside of him. He was angry, confused, and scared all at once. How could his parents do something like this? And what did it mean for him and Nathan?
Frank cleared his throat, interrupting Ezekiel's thoughts. "Look, we're not here to cause any trouble. We just wanted to let you know what's going on. The government is looking for people with signs of supremacy, and your parents' invention is helping them do it. You need to be careful."
" I thought that they were dead !" Ezekiel muttered to himself .
