"Answer me, Sarah. Which should I believe?" Mr. Adams asked calmly from the other end. "In case you don't know, I figured what you did with Victor and I'm so sorry I wasn't available for you to do the same with me." he mocked.
Pale Sarah could only get paler hearing Mr. Adams's confession. She took in rough breaths and tried to calm down.
"That wasn't what happened, you are getting this all wrong," she lied, not for her sake but the same of her father. It was still a mystery to her that her father lived and what remains a bigger mystery at the moment was what Mr. Adam wanted to do with her father and how he had him under his control.
Remembering he spoke about a little help, she decided to go back to that, "What help do you want me to do?"
