The smile on the girl's face was wide as she set up the picnic space with the help of her friend; Shinobu Koucho, the goddess of poison and healing. "Mistsuri-chan, are you sure about this? I don't think he'll even show up…"
The woman with pink and green hair shook her head, she had faith he would show up "I'm sure he will!" She was always such a bright and cheerful person when it came to things like this, seeing her all nervous and needing help made Shinobu want to reach out and squeeze the life out of her more than ever.
The feeling burning inside Mitsuri's chest just made her wanna explode and scream, setting up the food and drinks, which she had hand made just for the god joining her, she was getting so giddy just thinking about it. "If he does stand you up I'll poison his next cup of coffee!" Shinobu huffed and turned, leaving once everything was ready.
Three hours later and Mitsuri was still sitting there alone, yes she had been an hour early to set up and calm her nerves but now she had been waiting for him for two extra hours.. Did he not want to have a picnic with her..?
Mitsuri sighed and rubbed at her eyes trying to keep the tears inside her eyes, she shouldn't have gotten her hopes up, just when she was about to stand up Obanai appeared, panting, he looked like he had ran all the way here. "Hi.. sorry i'm late, I was doing things.." the man sat down, he was the god of lies so it's not like the girl would believe him- yet she did.
"Ah! I'm so glad you could take some time out of your day for our picnic!!" the bright and giddy smile returned to her face in an instant, you could only tell by the slight puffiness to her eyes that she had been rubbing away tears.
"Thank you for inviting me to this picnic."
The goddess of love was very happy with how that day had turned out, however the god of deceit was glad his coffee wouldn't be poisoned for eternity.
