Helen paced back and forth in a room that was well-decorated but now scattered with items that she had been moving around. In her small hands, she clutched a vial tightly as if it could slip through her fingers at any second. Her expression was tensed and marred with a frown, beckoning the advice of an elderly woman sitting in the center of the room.
"I don't think this is a good idea, Lady Helen. This is your first child, are you going to attempt to abort him?" quizzed the old healer.
Helen stilled for a moment before releasing a heavy sigh and then pacing back towards the seated woman. "Please don't speak to my husband about this," she pleaded with a tinge of desperation.
Tears were quick to form in her eyes, prompting the old royal healer to stay quiet for a moment as she gathered her thoughts. Eventually, she nodded slowly to show her approval, still remaining silent until suddenly, there came a knock on the door.
