"Lady Rhiannon?" a voice called out, causing Rhiannon to halt in her tracks as she made her way to the garden. Startled, she turned towards the source of the voice, her eyes widening momentarily before she regained her composure, a polite smile gracing her lips.
"Lord Cedric, what a surprise to see you. It has been quite a while," she replied, though deep down, Rhiannon wished she didn't have to encounter this man. She observed as a bright expression illuminated his face, a wide smile spreading across his features. The golden earring adorning his left ear only added to his charm; it was no wonder many women were drawn to him. However, for some inexplicable reason, she felt no desire for any emotional connection with him.
