' Hero? ' Aaron thought. ' That is a new title. '
" What do you mean by that, Sandwalker? " He said as his voice grew deeper.
The middle one holding a long spear simply nodded at his question. He didn't say a word or murmur. The sand around them danced more intensely as the wind became more wild.
He looked at the moon and observed the wind. " Let's talk about it later. We need to move. " He pointed at the back showing to follow them.
The two tall men beside him walked away leaving him alone. Klytie retained his awareness but his body slowly lose up a little.
As the man was about to lead them the duke finally stepped forward. " What about me? " He asked. The man's words implied that he only wished to talk to Aaron.
The duke's duty was not to listen to some hero stuff. The man tilted his head in confusion. " You? "
" I already sent the letter to your leader. " The duke said. " I want to negotiate with Sand. I see your confusion. But I'm not willy let my hair go to an unknown place."
The duke pulled Aaron to his side. Placing his authority over Aaron. " I heard about your letter. " The man said, flatly. "It was now rested under the cruel Sand. "
"Don't dare to badmouth the Lord. " Klytie draw his sword and pointed at the man. The tip of the steel blade glowed in white to show his willingness to kill. The duke didn't stop Klytie this time.
The other side didn't greet him or showed him some face. He was planning to negotiate with Sandwalker. Not beg them.
The man looked bored. He didn't scare by Klytie's sword or any threat. He had seen too much in the sand to be afraid.
" This land is ours, Duke. " The man finally said. " You come and rule us using water. You don't respect the sand. Tell me, Duke. Why did you come here? Oppress us again like Hawk or use like Emperor. "
The duke was silent but In his mind, he already knew the answer. Both. As cunning as he was, he didn't say a false in front of the knight Klytie.
" So that is why you don't want to face the Ravenwood. " the duke asked.
The man nodded. " We fear the unknown but we can make something out of that fear. This! We can't do anything but hope. Sand can't defeat the dragon. Everyone knew that and everyone fear the dragon. "
" True. " The duke agreed. " But a complete lack of faith in humans will make your kind perish. Do you know about Ravenwood? "
To that question, the man could only shake his head. He didn't know anything about Ravenwood. Other than they will be the Lord of sand. He didn't need to care. Cause people's greed will cause them pain.
The duke smiled. He managed to grab the straw. " Lead me to your leader. You will know about Ravenwood and their honour. " He said with a certain arrogance.
The man struggled. " Fine. I will lead you as well. "
Klytie placed his sword on his back. He didn't put on his waist because it is hard to draw with the heavy cloak. And he can do a surprise attack with a short sword as well.
Aaron observed the conversion. He noted the information he obtained in his mind. " Excuse me. "
His step followed the man along with the Duke and Klytie.
" Yes. Hero. " The man said in a respectful tone. There is no lack of anger like when he talked with the duke.
Hero. This part annoyed Aaron. He can't pinpoint the feeling but something about this name bother him like that chosen one. He felt someone put a chain on his neck. Too heavy to move.
" Can you stop that? " Aaron asked.
The man looked at him with confusion.
" I mean. That name. Hero. For some reason I hate it. " Aaron said in honesty. Which he surprised himself.
They moved past the tall rock. The man stopped and tapped the rock with his spear. The spark formed and the rock shattered revealing the hole to the underground.
Aaron saw the passage in the hole under the moonlight. Dusty stairs, a trail of spiders nest. The stair was unsettling dark and gloomy.
The man dragged his spear against the same rack which is now laying on the sand. His spear lit up the fire. A green emblem of fire, and beauty and yet felt poisonous.
Without saying a word, the man entered. Klytie looked around and spread his sense to the highest. He felt five vitality but they were too weak in his standard like the man. 'Sandwalker can lower their energy? ' he questioned himself. That kind of technique will be deadly.
Again his gaze turned to Aaron and the duke. Their energy also got lower. Which made him worry to the full extent. But another question rose.' Maybe the sand makes them like this. ' That was a stupid question.
As his energy output became higher than before. He can see the trace of energy running on his finger.
The first to enter the hole was Aaron. Followed by the Duke and lastly Klytie. After a brief minute, they arrived at the door.
The door was large enough to cover the ship. The man tapped the door with his spear. It opened. The seemingly large door moved in itself. Dust and sand fall on their head as the shaking of the door was large.
" Welcome to the sand. " The man said. As he revealed the village behind the door.
Disappointment. The feeling the duke got when he see the place. ' There should be many places like this. ' he talked to himself.
The man led them.
The village was dry. Maybe because it was nighttime. Aaron thought. He looked at the ceiling which was covered by smooth rock.
He can smell a certain dryness. His fear of something was also raised. Blood pumped through his head, and his ears slowly turn red. The other can see because it was covered by the hood.
Something coming. He murmured in a quiet tone.
