Chapter 37 - Asura vs Surya

The Final match was about to start within a few hours. Asura wanted to check on Su Lin before the match because he knew she was not lightly hurt, but he was blocked by the medical team. The medical team informed him that Su Lin needed rest as she was seriously injured, and her internal organs were in chaos. They assured him that they were providing their best medicine and her injuries were healing, but she still needed some time to heal properly.

Asura was shocked to learn that Su Lin's internal organs were in chaos, but he was relieved to know that she was out of danger and just needed some time to heal. He didn't disturb her and left her alone to recover.

After some time, a figure arrived where Su Lin was resting. The medical team showed great respect and bowed down when they saw who it was - Su Lin's master. After staring at Su Lin for a moment, the master said to the medical team, "I am going to take my disciple. You guys don't have to worry."

The medical team nodded. With a wave of Su Lin's master's sleeve, both Su Lin and her master vanished from the resting place.

Asura was not aware that Su Lin had been taken by her master, so he was thinking of visiting her after the match or accompanying her if he ended up like her.

Asura went into meditation to be in peak condition for the upcoming match. While Asura was meditating, Surya was in a corner of a building where rarely someone would visit.

"Looks like you've done your work with Su Lin," an elderly voice echoed in Surya's ear, and he replied, "Don't you know me? How can I miss my target?"

"Haaa... I know you can't miss your target unless there is something you can't solve with your knowledge and skill. This was so refreshing. I want to see her face when she knows her cultivation level started to decline," the mysterious elder said.

After a pause, he continued, "And don't worry about her master taking revenge. That man will not fight with a junior, and even if he finds out she has been poisoned, he will have no evidence that you were the one who did it. If he knocks on the door of the royal family, my family will do its best to suppress this accident."

"Do your best to suppress? This is the first time I've heard such uncertainty from you. You can't easily suppress a matter," Surya said.

"Don't take her master lightly; his identity is a bit special, and even I don't have full information about him. But you don't have to worry; you will not be blamed. If we can't suppress this matter, we will just find a scapegoat, and he will take all the blame," the elder said.

"It is about time for your last match; just finish this quickly," the elder said.

"I have the feeling this match will take more effort than fighting with Su Lin, but still, he is not my match. The ultimate result will be the same; he will be defeated, and I will find a chance to make him crippled like Su Lin," Surya said with an evil smile on his face.

After some time, the match was announced, and all the audience gathered at the arena, fully excited for the final match. Asura and Surya entered the stage, and after getting settled, Asura asked Surya, "Why were you so ruthless to Su Lin? It is not necessary to try to kill your opponent in the tournament."

Surya replied, "I thought she would pose a real challenge to me, so I was ruthless from the start. However, after some time, I realized she was not a threat to me, so I slowed down. You could see that, except for the first few attacks, I was lenient towards her. But it seems my spiritual attack was too much for her. On behalf of me, please apologize to her when she heals properly."

Asura was in a confused state; he was pondering whether Surya was telling the truth or lying, as he conveyed all those things with a sincere face, making it hard to believe he was being dishonest.

The referee gave the signal to start the match, and both contenders were ready to fight. An amazing fight was about to begin.
