"Say, do you want to go to my secret hideout" he smirked as he whispered into my ear
"Ooh~ sounds cool~" I hummed
"Lead the way!" I added as I pointed to the sky
For a moment both of us erupted into giggles.
"Okay.. okay, first we need to lose the guards." Marius said as tilted his head behind us still chuckling a bit
"Follow my lead." He said pointing his thumb at himself.
I nodded before Marius and I swiftly started to move, not even a second later we heard the guards on our tails stomping through the marketplace towards us.
"Uhm!-" I started to sweat as I saw them gaining on us
"Trust me!" He shouted before grabbing my arm and turning the corner.
Before I knew it we turned so many corners we lost the guards almost immediately!
"That.. was SO COOL!" I said amazed as I tried to catch my breath
"Those guards may be fast but they all have one weakness!" He laughed
I smiled as I raised an eyebrow
"Turning corners!" He put his hands on his hips
"And how'd you know that?" I asked tilting my head while still keeping the side smile
He laughed, "With speed like that! If they kept turning into corners like that they'll surely hit their face HARD." He grinned as he balled one of his hands into fists on his side
"Jeez, you're smart." I chuckled
He stared at me before turning red like from embarrassment I'm guess? I raised an eyebrow and he turned away.
"A-ah so the hideout should be this way.." he said shyly as he began to walk
I picked up my pace until I was walking right besides him. I glanced at him and noticed he was looking at me too. I smiled again before turning forward again.
We walked in silence for a while since it seemed like neither of us was willing to continue talking so it was a mutual silence.
After a few more minutes of walking we finally reached the hideout, from the looks of it, it looked to be a small abandoned cabin and also the exterior seemed to be very old. But other than that it wasn't too bad.
Marius held his hand up, finally meeting my eyes with a smile. I softly smiled back as I grabbed his hand and headed inside.
Before we went in, Marius opened his mouth to talk, "It looks better on the inside, trust me, I cleaned the place so it doesn't look like what it appears on the outside."
"Oh~ that's nice to hear." I hummed as we walked in.
Now inside the cabin I could see a very cozy area much similar to the inn I was staying at.
"Make yourself comfortable. I have some snacks we could eat together." He said, closing the door behind me.
"Oh, okay!" I said as I walked towards the sofa.
I saw him go to a different part of the cabin before actually sitting on the sofa, I flinched when I touched the coffee colored sofa.
WOAH, wow~ this is such a soft sofa! I thought as I jumped lightly on it. Hearing footsteps coming closer I looked up to see Marius.
"I'm back, I brought us a blanket too." He said holding the plate of cookies in one hand and a blanket on the other, I helped him place the plate of cookies on a nearby table.
Marius unfolded the blanket and plopped onto the sofa and placed the blanket over the both of us.
"Wow this is really cozy.." I said as I snuggled into the blanket
"Mhm" he replied while holding up a cookie near my mouth.
I opened my mouth and took a bite of the cookie, soon enough wonderfulness rushed over my body when I tasted that cookie. It was so delicious I could literally just turn into a rainbow!
I quickly grabbed another one and held it in front of Marius, he bit the cookie and smiled, so in response smiled back.
After eating a whole plate full of cookies and just talking about random interests and hobbies, I felt sleepy. I almost closed my eyes before I jumped back up and turned to Marius.
"Marius! What time is it?!" I said anxiously
Marius pulled out his pocket watch and glanced at the time, "7:30 ish?" He replied
"Oh shoot! I need to go back!" I quickly stood up from the sofa
Marius frowned, "Ah.. okay" he sounded disappointed
"Don't worry we'll talk tomorrow!" I patted his shoulder to comfort him
His mood seemed to lighten up a bit.
"Alright I need to go now-" I paused
"Uhm can you show me the way back?" I rubbed my neck
"Hm? Sure." He replied as he got up
When we were outside of the cabin I could see that the sun was almost gone, Marius grabbed my hand softly and we started to walk back to the market place.
"Where are you staying?" Marius questioned
"Franny's Inn." I said while scanning the area
Moments later we arrived back at the marketplace, I loosened my hand and that was a signal to let go, but he still didn't loosen his hold on me.
Before I could speak he said, " I'll take you to the inn as well."
"Oh. Uh you really don't have to.." I said nervously
He shook his head, "But I want to."
With nothing else to say I just followed his lead. Once we reached the inn he grabbed and suddenly hugged me, I jumped a bit since it was pretty unexpected but after a second I also started to embraced him as well.
I felt him stroke my back for a moment before letting his hands drag down my back while taking a step back.
"Bye." He said smiling watching me head in
"Bye!" I said cheerfully as I entered the lobby area of the inn.
I hurried upstairs and knocked on the door, my mom answered the door and as soon as she saw me her normal expression turned into a shocked one.
"Theo! Where were you?!" She said pulling me inside the room and closing the door behind me
"Ah, I just wondered a bit too long" I laughed nervously
"We'll thank god you're back!" She pulled me in for a hug
"Wow, I totally thought you were dead." Stephen snickered
"Shutdap" I said as the both of us glared at each other
"Theo go take a quick shower before it's too late" Beatrice said not even glancing up from her book
"Alright~" I hummed as I went to the bathroom.
After a nice hot shower my body muscles were all completely relaxed. I quickly dried off my hair with a fresh towel before laying on the bed and throwing the covers over me.
Mother waited until everyone was in bed before closing the light. Soon after I started to drift to sleep.
