"Ugh"
A loud groan echoed in the empty room.
Max has just opened his eyes, he tried to move his body, but he felt that his body was screaming for him to stop.
His eyes showed some confusion, as he wondered what is going on, or what had happened to his body.
He sensed that he was laying on something soft and comfortable, which made him relax his tense muscles.
As he was going to relax and sleep again, his memory jolted him awake from his place, as he remembered what had happened to him, and the reason for the pain in his body.
When he straightened his body, he discovered that he was in a luxurious room, that is filled with all kinds of decorations and necessities.
He is currently laying on a king-sized bed, wearing new clothes and clean of any traces of blood.
He noticed something a little heavy resting near his legs. When he directed his gaze there, he found Hayley sleeping while half of her body resting on the bed, and the lower half sitting on the chair.
Her expression was good, but she shows signs of tiredness on her face. So, seeing her expression, Max didn't wake her up, since it seemed that they are currently safe.
He lay down in the bed again and stared at the ceiling for a while, before calling Lena in his head to know what happened while he is asleep.
'Lena, What happened after I fell unconsciousness?'
The last thing Max remembered was the answer from the black figure, and that made his tense nerves relax. Which ended in him letting go of all his fighting spirit, and welcoming the darkness with open arms.
During this time in the darkness, he didn't see anything at all, at first he thought it was a dream, but then he noticed that it wasn't a dream and that he was in a very strange place.
All around him was a deep void, there was no light, and he didn't even manage to perceive his own body, all he had was a clear mind.
He kept wandering in the darkness for a long time without any destination or sense of purpose.
After that, he woke up.
But what he doesn't remember, was that he saw something terrifying while he was wandering in the darkness, but his subconsciousness, locked this memory, as at the moment the thing that Max saw nearly made his soul collapse.
Of course, what Max doesn't know, is that this place filled with darkness isn't a dream.
It is a domain, which holds some of the most terrifying things in the Universe, a place that only select people can access. As for the reason Max's consciousness got there, that is something for later to know.
While Max was lost in thoughts about that strange dream, Lena's voice brought him back from his wandering.
[Master, When you lost consciousness, the figure allowed you and Hayley to take one of the rooms in the castle to stay inside until you woke up]
'Oh'
'But, I don't remember seeing this room before?' Max said with a confused look on his face.
[This is one of the rooms that you have been into before but with a little bit of Magic]
'Hmm?'
Can magic even do this kind of thing?
Well, the other party is a god, so whatever.
'Then, how long have I been sleeping?'
[One day]
Hearing this I just sighed tiredly.
I have been in Hell, for about 10 days.
I am sure mother would be worried sick about me, I just hope that the family doesn't notice my disappearance, as that would make them create a fuss.
Thinking about my family, made my head heart.
Whatever, let's ignore this for now and see what will happen next.
'Lena, did I complete the quest?'
[Yes]
'Then, the reward?' I asked with a face full of anticipation.
[When you return to Earth, Master]
'Why?'
[So, you can better see what the inheritance is about, and the system at the time will decide the rewards accordingly]
'Sure'
I just clicked my tongue and decided to sleep for a few more hours before waking Hayley up, because from her look, she seemed to have just fallen asleep, and when I asked Lena, she confirmed my thoughts.
And like that, I just closed my eyes and fell asleep.
This time, I didn't see any strange things. Like that a few hours passed in peace.

..
.
On Earth.
In the Penthouse where Will and Ava live.
Currently, Will is sitting on a comfortable chair that is supposed to make one feel relaxed and carefree, but his expression shows that he is not carefree at all or even relaxed.
Will's current expression could only be explained in one word.
Terrible.
His face is twisted between annoyance and anger.
Sitting in front of him is Ava who is looking at him worriedly.
Seeing her Master making a face like this is rare. After all, not many things could make him annoyed right now. So, she just stayed silent and stared at him with concern.
After a few more minutes, Will just let out a sigh, and his expression returned to normal. As if all this was just an illusion.
Seeing that her master's expression returned to normal, Ava decided to ask.
"What happened, Master?"
"I met the old man a few days ago," said Will with a sigh.
"Did you spend the past few days with him?" said Ava, she said this because Will disappeared for the past nine days, he left the planet and didn't even send a message before leaving.
Ava wasn't worried at all, because she knows that no one can injure her master, so she just waited quietly for her master to return.
"No, we talked for two days, as for the remaining days, something drew my attention so I went to investigate," said Will
"What is it?" asked Ava curiously.
"Some crazy bastard was trying to break the universal barrier."
"Huh?"
"What is that?"
This is the first time for Ava to hear about something like this.
Hearing Ava's question, Will decided to think about what to tell her and what not to, as some things are better left unsaid. Even if Ava is one of the strongest being in the Universe, some things better left be buried in the long river of history.
"All you should know is that the Universal barrier is a barrier that separates us from the outer realm."
"And the outer realm is a place where you can find other Universes with different systems than us."
'Of course, there are some other things there, but that is enough for now,
continued Will in his head.
"What do you mean different system?" Ava asked more confused. She has an idea about other Universes because her master mentioned it before when he slipped by his tongue. As for the information regarding different systems is something new to her.
"You have seen the stories that the humans nowadays kept posting and writing on Earth right?"
Ava just nodded her head in acknowledgment.
"The humans' imagination is really something to marvel at. After all most of their stories are true. So, by a different system, I mean different energy levels and different energy presence."
"Energy level? Energy Presence? What is that?" Ava's head right now is in a mess.
"Well, all you need to know now is that someone wants to open the barrier between Universes. As for the rest, I will explain in the future." Said Will after thinking about whether to continue explaining or not, but in the end, he is too lazy to continue.
As for how did he get all of this knowledge?
Well, that is a story for another time, because it is a slightly long story.
Ava just pouted at her Master, because she knows that he is just too lazy to explain. Even in the past, he would usually transmit the information to her brain instead of explaining.
"Okay, then did you kill that person?" asked Ava after sighing in defeat.
Hearing her question, Will has an excited smile on his face.
Seeing this smile, Ava begins to have a very bad feeling, but she can do nothing but wait for the answer.
