Chapter 60 - Chapter 60, A favor

"I naturally left him alive," answered Will with a smile on his face.

Hearing this answer, Ava just sighed and asked a question she knows the answer to.

"Why?"

"Of course, I am waiting for him to break the barrier for me," said Will with a face that said 'are you stupid or what?'.

Seeing her master's expression, Ava has the urge to stand up and go beat up her master, but sadly he is her master and he is stronger than him. That if we excluded that she loved him.

"Then aren't you worried about what might come from outside?" said Ava after sighing again.

"Eh"

"No, I already have an idea, so I am not practically worried about myself. Maybe the rest of the Universe would face a calamity, but that isn't something to bother about," answered Will after thinking.

"Then, how long will take before he succeeds, and how did that person even know about something like this?"

"Maybe a few years, or a few months if someone helped him. As for how did he know, it is probably someone from outside the Universe who told him."

"Is that even possible?" Ava asked in shock.

"Yes, although it is not something easy."

Ava begins to think to herself.

Does this mean an era of great Chaos is coming again?

When she thought of this, gradually an excited smile similar to the one on Will's face started to appear on her face.

Will who sitting opposite of her seeing her smile like that, and just shook his head while laughing.

"Right, Master. I forgot!"

"What?" I asked with a curious expression on my face.

"Why did you have an annoyed face before?" Ava almost forgot that her Master's complexion wasn't very good when she found him.

"Tsk," remembering this made Will click his tongue and put a sullen face.

"Do you remember the only bloodline that managed to escape from me from the demon race?"

"Yes, Master."

"Well, I now owe a favor to someone to give his inheritance to Max," said Will with an annoyed face.

Although he could have snatched the thing he wanted with his power, and that would have been easy, that wasn't an option as it was someone close to the old man. That's why he had to visit him to tell him about what he wanted to do.

Hearing her master's words, Ava grew confused from her master's words. Not being able to contain her curiosity, she decided to ask.

"But what does this have to do with Max? isn't Max a vampire?"

"Well, yes he is, but I wanted to help pave the way to be something unique like us."

Hearing this Ava became silent because she remembered some unpleasant memories from the distant past before she met her Master.

As she was going to lose herself in those memories. She found a warm hand placed on her head that drove all those memories away.

"Remove those useless thoughts from your mind, they are from the past and can no longer affect you. And Max will have my help in evolving so it is not going to be hard for him. He will feel pain, but that is okay," Will said while rubbing his hand on Ava's head like when she was a kid.

Suddenly Ava remembered something she overlooked, and looked at her Master seriously.

Seeing her serious look, Will straightened his back because he knows that Ava probably caught his trick again in diverting topics.

"What?" Will asked with a straight face.

"Master, you said that you now owe someone a favor," said Ava with a suspicious look on her face.

"So?" Will said trying to appear nonchalant about it.

"Did that mean you know own that person a favor?" Ava asked and a chilling smile started to appear on her face.

"Who?" Will asked, pretending to be confused.

"Master, are you going to come clean or not?" said Ava with the same chilling smile on her face.

"Yes," Will answered and turned his head in the other direction, but feeling the large killing intent coming from Ava.

Will felt that looking in the other direction isn't enough. So, he teleported outside the house and went to roam the planet to avoid Ava's wrath, he didn't even bother to hear what she has to say because he knows that he will get cussed at if he stayed for one more second.

"MASTER, COME BACK HERE" shouted Ava in a loud voice that threatened to echo throughout the entire country. Thankfully, Will predicted what would happen. So, placed a small barrier to isolate the sound from the outside world.

..

.

In Limbo, The Original Castle.

Standing in front of the black tower in the garden of the castle, Max and Hayley just looked at the door in front of them silently.

Max turned his head to Hayley and asked worriedly.

"Are you sure you don't need to rest a little longer?"

Hayley hearing this, just smiled and answered.

"Don't worry, the faster we finish. The earlier we can find a way home."

"Your face looks a little bit haggard," said Max while frowning.

"Hell isn't the best place for skin care Max," said Hayley with a smile that isn't a smile.

Seeing this smile, Max didn't want to continue to tangle in the subject, so he asked something else.

"Where did the figure do after I fainted and why are we here?"

After waking up a few minutes ago, Hayley told Max to follow her. After walking around the castle for a while they arrived in front of the tower that they have first seen when they have just entered there.

"The figure just told me to take you to rest in one of the rooms, and when you wake up. I should take you to this tower as the inheritance is inside."

"Did the figure mention what the inheritance might be?" Max asked curiously.

Hayley just shrugged her shoulders while saying, "No, I don't know anything. Anyway, we are already here, so we better get over with it."

"Sure," Max shrugged his shoulder helplessly after hearing this.

After this Max tried to push the doors of the tower. He was prepared to see that the door are unmovable, but to his surprise, they opened quite easily. Unlike when they first came inside.

Seeing this, Max continued pushing the door, until it revealed what is inside. In front of them is spiral stairs that are going to take them up the tower.

Max began waking after pushing the door and seeing the stairs.

As for Hayley….

She is currently lost in thoughts after she finished answering Max's questions.

What she didn't tell Max about is that she had a very short conversation with the figure in black before it disappeared.

At the time when she went quickly to heal Max from his injuries after the trial.

The figure just removed the blood covering his body and helped heal some of the important parts that are life-threatening if they stayed like this for a long time.

After this, the figure told Hayley about the place of the inheritance and added a small piece of advice for Hayley.

"If you keep following this kid, your road will be filled with a lot of uncertainty. He has a large fate on his shoulder and that fate will grow stronger and shackle him more when he receives this inheritance."

"You don't have something like this but if you follow him, you will get affected by his fate and karma. Your survivability will depend on your power and luck in the coming time if you continue following him."

Hearing all of this of course shocked Hayley, but when she wanted to open her mouth, she found that the figure shrouded in darkness disappeared while leaving a few last words.

"Think carefully Kid."

…. And with that Hayley is left in an empty throne hall with an unconscious Max.
