As Brandyn approached, Carbine shut his laptop then lifted himself.
"This is a big mission, kid. You have to do what I have said." He explained, with an assertive tone.
On a pin that was inside the wall was a balaclava, and a black leather jacket.
While Brandyn was wearing these items, he nodded as a reply.
"I won't mess up, Carbine." Brandyn said in an affirming tone.
Once he had everything on, his identity was concealed. He wore black gloves, a black jacket with a hood, and a balaclava. He looked entirely different but you could see his muscles, even through the layers of clothing he had over them.
"Alright. Let's get it." Brandyn said, looking back to his phone.
"That's where you'll meet you accomplice. Next, just follow him and do what he says." Carbine said, packing up his laptop.
Brandyn tightened up his jacket then left the outpost, looking into the empty street. There was no breeze and the only thing present was the deafening silence of the night. Not a single soul roamed the streets and there was the lights that illuminated the roads swiftly flickered.
"This is it. This is where it all begins." Brandyn whispered to himself before walking into the distance.
It only took 3 or 4 minutes before he had reached his destination, which was yet another dark alleyway. Initially, he couldn't see anyone inside the dark void. However, he heard the slow and soft taps of someone behind him.
"So you're with me?" The man asked, who had quite a high-pitched voice for a supposed adult.
"Yeah. I think so."
"Good. Follow my lead." He advised, swiftly jogging into the distance.
Brandyn was easily able to follow right after him and he wasn't even breaking a sweat either.
"This guy must be a regular-born. His footsteps are so sluggish and short." Brandyn said, as he caught up to him by just walking.
Once he approached a brick wall, which was covered in colourful graffiti, he lifted his arm. However, he heard a weird mechanical noise in his arm. Also, he had a backpack and as he stopped, Brandyn went up to lift the bag. What he noticed was that it was surprisingly heavy for someone who he thought was a regular-born. However, once he looked at him even more, he saw some weird exoskeleton across his wrist and hand.
"Here." The guy whispered, taking out a gun.
His gun resembled the matchlock-like pistol that was wielded by the first guy Brandyn attacked.
*swoosh*
Brandyn slid his position then aimed at the alleyway ahead of him. The alleyway lead into a deep park, that seemed to not even have the slightest sign of life.
*BANG*
One of the infamous mega pellets soared towards the intended target, who was a man dressed in a grey-blue hoodie.
*Crack*
One of his ribs cracked as the metal-rock ball slammed into his back. Once this happened, the masked man continued edging forwards while reloading his steaming pistol.
"Do I just stand back here or fight?" Brandyn asked, as the guy didn't seem to give him much space to walk around him.
*BANG*
Another pellet launched at the man, but he was able to dodge and the slow pellet zoomed into the darkness behind him. His skin was slightly tanned, and he wore black jeans with black sneakers. His eyes started to glow a fiery red and his muscles started to glow significantly.
"YOU'RE DEAD!!" He shouted, with a more ape-like face.
"Oh no I'm not." The masked man said, as a weird device in his bag started to vibrate.
Once this happened, he leaped ahead with one stride that looked very unnatural. He resembled a kangaroo with his leap, and he managed to reach more than 2 metres into the air.
However, someone else came in from beside him. This man started to slide down the brick wall and he wore a grey shirt. He was covered in a large exoskeleton, with gauntlets that covered his fist.
*vummm*
His right arm seemed to charge up some weird form of energy and the crevasses in the device's design started to glow a bright blue.
*VUM*
*BANG*
The masked man got hit right in the face and launched into the opposite brick wall.
This man, who stood at 6'0, had a ginger mohawk with a rather large physique. Some of it was muscle but it seemed that the majority of it was fat.
"Okay. I definitely have to fight now." Brandyn said to himself, as his eyes started to glow.
*zoom*
Brandyn charged ahead and then occupied the distance between his accomplice and this other man. Before this arrogant man could even make a comment out of contempt, Brandyn began with a skilful jab to his head. As his fist completely shut his eyes, this opened a small time window for him to snap his power hand forward for a right directly towards the solar plexus.
This attack jerked the man back and caused a throbbing pain to start up across his entire abdomen.
As Brandyn approached him again, he made sure to try and throw an attack of his own.
*BAM*
