"You kids really thought that you could take me out?!" He shouted in confusion, taking off his scorched and ripped hoodie.
As he did this, he revealed his gaping muscles, while also showing off his extravagant eagle tattoo to Brandyn.
"This guy means business! Flavian won't be able to do anything against this guy alone, so I need to keep him occupied somehow." Brandyn realised, dropping one of his hands to cultivate his Bolt arrow within his palm.
The man had predatory eyes, that restlessly switched between his two targets. His prey.
Noticing the extensive gear on Flavian, he charged to him instead. He knew that a gang member with a lot of mechanical assistance was bound to be a regular-born. However, before he was able to connect with his target, Brandyn hastily hurled his spear of lightning ahead to jab it right into his back.
*KRR*
The lightning crackled and jittered in the side of his body, causing unimaginable levels of pain. His abdomen even started to contract wildly, making him unable to walk in a straight direction. Once Flavian noticed that the lightning was slowly starting to fade, he loaded his matchlock to once again, fire off one of the mega pellets.
This time, it landed on his open wound and caused him to scream out in pain like a whimpering deer.
"I won't let you take me out! Not little kids!!" He roared, in a beast-like tone.
Flavian then became overconfident from this attack and closed in on him. Charging ahead with the assistance of his exoskeleton, he swung his arm forward for a punch, only to be swatted away by the burly warrior.
*SLAM*
Flavian gracelessly crashed into a tree behind him, taking significant damage from this hit alone. The exoskeleton gave him physical enhancement in terms of strength but when it came to taking direct hits, it could only do so much.
"No! He doesn't look good at all!" Brandyn said, darting towards the beast-like man.
Brandyn lifted his arm and, as he closed in range with his opponent, threw down his arm to try and land a slash. However, he ducked right out of the way of the dagger smoothly. However, his smooth movement seamlessly switched into ferocity as he slashed Brandyn across his stomach twice. Blood was swiped right out of the new wounds and these slashes were truly agonising.
To secure distance away from his opponent, he did a backflip. His wounds were speedily healing and the pain was dwindling but it would be false to say that this pain wasn't affecting him in any way. Flavian watched this conflict first hand and the slashes looked brutal. So, he darted in to try and keep the man occupied, just so Brandyn could have some time to recollect himself before entering the battle again.
*WHOOSH*
His exoskeleton went into overdrive as he charged right at his opponent and just before he could get hit himself, the pistons in his legs charged up to propel him more than 15 meters into the air.
"What is he thinking?" Brandyn thought as he saw this.
While in the air, he loaded his matchlock once again and shot down another mega pellet. This time, this wasn't something that the man could just dodge and so, he was hit with the rough and fortified pellet of rock and metal.
This cracked his collar bone and before he could even react, he was hit with an aerial kick from Flavian. This kick, amplified with the force of the exoskeleton, launched him back a step and made the man concerned for his own safety. Usually, he could defeat his opponents with just a few slashes and attacks. However, these humans seemed to be more difficult to battle than even the grown men that he had faced in the past.
This mere thought that he could lose to children made him furious and so, he snapped and ran right towards Flavian.
Seeing how he didn't turn to the side to try and look at Brandyn, he sprinted ahead to try and get a few hits on him. However, before he could even get in the needed range to land practically anything, he was hit with an elbow square in the chest.
This elbow cracked his breastbone and the furious man attacked him again by throwing a straight right punches to the face. These 2 attacks alone were enough to get Brandyn on the floor, but he was able to stay conscious due to his superhuman levels of durability.
"I'm still conscious after that?! This guy is big and muscly, but his ability is weak. He should've killed us both by now. His muscle is all for show! I'm not going to be scared and run off when he tries to hit me. I can handle him!" Brandyn said, lifting off the ground surprisingly quickly.
"You're dead, exo kid!!" He shouted, storming forward with his glowing eyes and imposing figure.
Before he could even begin his assault, Brandyn came in from beside him again but this time, he was swifter and more elegant with his movements. This was so that he could enter his personal space undetected. As he was wide open, Brandyn cocked back his fist and utilised his Lucifer Strike Skill. With twice his ordinary strength, this punch landed right on this guy's chin, causing his body to tumble right over.
This strike gave Flavian hope as he saw the damage it seemed to have caused. Maybe, they could actually win this!
