JIEGO
The Julia she was talking about was a ball of sunshine. She has bouncy brown curls that reaches over her shoulder and a bright smile. Tina saw her immediately as we entered the fastfood chain. Tina gave me a glance before she entered and I nodded. She walked ahead and I followed, 3 paces behind her.
“Hey, girl! I missed you so so much!” – Julia said and noticed me, almost immediately. She whispered something to Tina’s ear and squeaked. It hurt my ears, to be honest. Not just mine, I guess. Some of the customers in nearby tables also turned their heads.
“Me too, Juls. By the way, this is Jiego, my boss and well… my boyfriend.”
Another deafening reaction came from Julia as I stepped closer, intending to shake her hand.
“SO IT’S TRUE! WOW, TINA. YOU’RE NOW GROWING UP, AREN’T YOU?!”
Tina blushed. Whatever that meant.
After more moments of waiting for Julia to calm down, I held out my hand and shook hers. She looked at me with a wide grin.
