Chapter 37 - Knights of the Knights Order.

"Begin!"

As soon as the cue to start their battle resounded throughout the common training hall, the men pointing their weapons at each other activated their [Blessings] because that was what they were asked to display.

Parth, the [Elven Blessing] user, was a short black-haired, good-looking man with wine-coloured eyes, and Ito, the [Human Blessing] user, was a dark brown-haired man with dijon-coloured eyes; they had joined, trained, and reached their goals of becoming [Knight Warriors], both smiled at each other, since both them had been itching to fight each other, whom they considered to be each other's rivals, now an opportunity presented itself, they couldn't let it go.

Their commander, Velor, who was grumpy tsundere-like man, had decided to become a bad man in front of the newbies, to show them how things worked in the new world, though it was a harsh step to directly kill a man, since it displayed how the new world worked precisely, they couldn't refute his actions.

And now, it was their turn to help the newbies pick a correct path, though each considered the other to be their rival, they wouldn't forget their purpose, hence, Ito winked at Parth, which his rival noticed and gave a subtle nod.

But,

Abruptly,

They felt a pressure, a certain pressure that made them feel as if they put under a trail.

A trail of a path that led to greatness.

It felt as if they'd be destined to greatness if they displayed a power that contained their wills to win.

A will to never give in even at the moment of death.

As these thoughts continued to flash in their minds, without even they themselves noticing, they were fighting against each other with their breaths laboured.

Yet,

There existed smiles on their faces as they clashed.

WHPPPLLLLIIIII-!!

Ito's parted lips began to whistle as they breathed heavily, as a eerie chartreuse green enveloped his tongue, unbeknownst to him. His tongue rolled as a soft rhythm dyed whistle began to escape his mouth, which was only visible to the others spectating them as a surprised expression flashed in Parth's face upon the change taking place in his friend, as his surprise was soon replaced by a bright smile and excitement.

While unbeknownst to Parth too, his ears also had pixelated chunks of chartreuse green hue, elongating his ears until they resembled that of an elf's, the same expression of surprise as Parth's flashed on Ito's face, whose gaze turned fierce while a wide grin was plastered on his face.

They both knew what was going on with the other, but they themselves didn't know that the same was happening with them.

It was a well known phenomenon that occurred upon an certain enlightenment in their martial arts or when a certain emotion got engraved on to their [Will Power]s.

In Ito's and Parth's case it was the latter, where their emotions to win got engraved on to their [Will Power]s, of course, with the help of a catalyst that they had yet to learn about.

This phenomenon was simply called [Blessing Manifestation], where their "special," blessed senses got enhanced to the next level.

What's use does it hold?

The [Aura]s of the enlightened, would get fiercer, denser, and a lot more easier to manifest upon their weapons.

Not that big of a deal, you think? No, it made a magnifying significance even among those of that are on the same level, while it will become slightly easier to fight against those of one level difference that have yet to get enlightened on their own [Blessing Manifestation].

With a final slash at each other, as they used the same swordsmanship taught by their knights order, both of them knelt on the ground while supporting themselves with their swords as blood trickled out of their lips due to the sustained internal injuries.

"I won." Ito muttered under his breath.

"As if." Parth commented with a small chuckle.

"My sword swing was bett...."

CLUNK-!

THUD-!

Ito lost his consciousness before completing his words.

"See?"

THUMP-!

Parth commented and collapsed, but didn't lose consciousness.

It was then,

The strange pressure that bore down on them resided softly, as if satisfied with their fight.

"!!?" Only then did Parth realise that they, who were supposed to "spar" lightly to display that the [Human Blessing] didn't hold much significance, had "fought."

'Why did we "fight?"' Parth wondered upon the revelation and pulled himself up, even while his body creaked due to being pushed to the limits. He walked towards Ito, stumblingly, and gazed down at his friend in confusion, unable to understand even a thing, he gazed at Velor, their commander, only to notice him gazing at the spectators instead of the fight that had just happened.

Following Velor's gaze, Parth's gaze landed upon a green-eyed, charming noble that had a soft but acknowledging expression on his face.

Unbeknownst to Parth and Velor, they had strangely straightened their backs, standing proudly, facing a person that felt to be the most noble being.

*

"Begin!" Velor announced the beginning of the spar.

'Who is the new God among them? Since there has never been a case a newbie possesses a [Title], it should be easy if I gaze at them instead of trying to gauge them through their presence.' Velor pondered.

But,

Before that, there was something more important.

There was a spar that he was supposed to look after, though he trusted their knights, his boys were the kind to get excited while sparring against each other, since they have been with each other for a long while, they felt their competitiveness surge while training, sparring, on missions, and even while racking achievements.

He was more interested in the spar between of the members his knights order, than finding another son of a bitch that would dare to belittle the King he served.

He noticed knight Ito and knight Parth talk among themselves without opening their mouths, and after they nodded, Velor knew that they would carry out the plan.

'Now, not many would suffer due to the insignificance of the [Human Blessing].....' Just as he concluded upon his thoughts, a strange pressure bore down upon him and the members of his knight order.

Or so he thought at that instance,

But, upon gazing around, he noticed that those that stood off stage were unaffected, upon that realisation, he glanced back at Ito and Parth, and understood that they were affected by the pressure, that strangely wasn't intimidating.

'I need to sto-' Velor thought, but before he took action, Ito and Parth lunged at each other.

WHOOOOSH-!

They were moving at speeds Velor had never seen them do before.

Nor had he ever thought that they would be able to move at such speeds, with the levels they were at.

He had even thought,

"..... Impossible...."
