Captain Namur of the eighth division approached Marco and attempted to touch the flame on his body, questioning if Marco's devil fruit had changed to the Mera-mera fruit. However, when he touched it, he recoiled in pain.
Namur exclaimed, "My God! This flame does have a very high temperature!" However, he quickly noticed something even more surprising. He pointed out that Marco now had wings and hands at the same time, which was unusual since Marco's flame wings were formed from his arms. With the wings on his back and arms and legs still intact, Marco could now fly and use his limbs as weapons. This new form significantly increased Marco's combat effectiveness.
The captains were amazed by Marco's new ability.
"Did you develop a new Devil Fruit ability, Marco?"
"Congratulations, Marco! With those wings, you won't need to use your hands to transform anymore, right?"
However, Marco shook his head and said, "No, this has nothing to do with my Devil Fruit ability. As Jozu said earlier, we came out of a comic book. It seems that the power of the comic book has affected us, and we have gained new abilities."
The captains were all amazed and intrigued by Marco's newfound ability to free his hands. Marco enjoyed the attention, but instead of answering their questions, he formed his hands into pistols and fired bullets made of flames, causing a shower of stones and dust to fly up in the distance.
The captains were astonished and couldn't believe what they were witnessing. Marco also has the ability of Mera-mera Fruit. The captains were eager to know what was going on dozens of eyes were fixed on Marco
"Is this Ace's ability?"
"Am I hallucinating?"
"Is this an upgraded version of Marco's Devil Fruit power?"
Marco asked, "Do you want to know what's going on, guys?"
The captains eagerly responded, "Yes, of course we want to know!"
Marco asked, "Would you like to have this kind of ability if you had the chance?"
The captains eagerly replied, "Why even ask? Of course, we do!"
Marco asked, "Are you all ready to hear the secret now?"
"Stop wasting time Marco! Get to the point!"
"Come on, get into the subject already!"
"Quit stalling and tell us the secret already!"
The captains grew increasingly impatient with Marco and voiced their frustration, which was exactly what he wanted. Without delay, Marco took out "The Phenex Clan of Highschool DxD" comic and pointed to the demon Phoenix on the cover, revealing, "My ability came from this comic!"
All the captains put their palm on their face in frustration.
