Chapter 8 - Infiltration and Assassination

The villagers had been planning their attack for days, strategizing and discussing the best way to take down the gang that had been causing chaos in their village. When the time finally came, there was a palpable sense of tension in the air as they approached the villa.

Noah had been chosen to lead the infiltration. Two other villagers were assigned to hide near the exits of the villa, while the rest of the team prepared to strike head-on from the main door.

Greg, a strong and determined villager, was among them. Their plan was to take the gang by surprise and overwhelm them before they had a chance to mount a counter-attack.

As Noah enters the villa, he hides and tries to strike at the good moment. Seeing no one around, Noah moves towards one of the rooms in which he saw that two gangsters are sleeping. Noah, hidden in the shadows, watched as the two gangsters slept soundly in their beds.

He knew that he had to act quickly and decisively if their mission was to succeed. Taking out his golden dagger, he approached the sleeping men with a sense of purpose. With one swift motion, he slit the throat of the nearest gangster, silencing him forever.

The other gangster woke up, startled and confused, but Noah plunged his dagger into his skull before he had a chance to react. As blood spilled onto the floor, Noah knew that time was of the essence. Soon, other gang members may be able to smell the blood and become active.

He had to act quickly before the rest of the gang woke up and mounted a defense.

Noah moved swiftly through the villa, searching for the supplies that the gang had been hoarding. Just as he was going to set these supplies on fire and create chaos, "I can't burn these supplies." Noah thought.

He knew that these supplies could be a lifeline for his village, providing much-needed food and resources. Finding the room where the supplies were stored, he made a mental note to come back for them later. For now, he had to focus on his main objective: taking down the gang.

Moving on, Noah searched for another room that he could use to his advantage. Finally, he found a room with a large 10-liter bottle of fuel.

Grinning to himself, he carefully picked up the bottle and made his way back to the room where he had killed the two gangsters. He doused their bodies in the fuel, careful not to spill any on himself.

When Noah was dousing the bodies of the two gangsters with fuel, he noticed something odd about one of them. He looked closely and realized that the man had a distinctive tattoo on his arm, one that might look like a symbol of a notorious criminal organization.

Noah's heart sank as he realized the implications of this discovery. The gang that they had been fighting was not just a small-time operation; they may be connected to a much larger and more dangerous criminal syndicate. This made their mission even more critical, as they now knew that the consequences of failure could be dire.

But after seeing that only one of them is having this tattoo his heart settled and remove that thought from his mind.

With a flick of his lighter, he set the bodies ablaze, watching as the flames licked at the walls and ceiling. He knew that this would draw the gang's attention, but he was prepared. With a sense of satisfaction, he turned and ran in the opposite direction, taking cover behind a nearby wall.

As he moved through the villa, he could hear the sounds of the gang members rousing from their slumber. They were shouting and cursing, trying to figure out what was happening.

Noah knew that they were disoriented and confused, and he had to use this to his advantage. He moved quickly and silently, using his knowledge of the villa's layout to stay hidden from view.

As Noah watched from his hiding place, the fire began to spread, engulfing the room and sending plumes of smoke into the air. He could hear the commotion outside as the gang began to stir, alerted to the danger.

One of the gangsters ran upstairs to wake the gang leader, who was none too pleased with being disturbed from his slumber. He opened the door and spoke to that gang member, "You better have a good reason, otherwise you know what will happen." That gangster became nervous but still spoke.

"Boss's room is on fire," he spoke hastily.

"What the hell are you saying? Speak clearly!" The boss took deep breaths and spoke again.

"Boss, one of the rooms on the ground floor is on fire." The boss was also taken aback and ran towards the ground floor. Seeing the boss coming down, another member of the gang came towards the boss.

"Boss, we are still finding out how this fire is set, and it will take some time now to extinguish this fire as it's getting out of control, so brothers are trying to make it under control," said one of the gang members.

Seeing the situation was not under control, the boss spoke with a dark face, "So every brother is here to extinguish the fire?"

"Yes, boss, all of them are here," replied Mahin.

"Mahin, do you know why you are still co-leader of a gang?" asked the boss.

Mahin was taken aback by the sudden turn of questions. Seeing that Mahin was not speaking, the boss called out to him.

Mahin spoke cautiously, fearing that he had done something to displease the boss. "Boss, because I am weak."

"Mahin, we all know that you are not much weaker than me. I can't defeat you easily. So, it's not about being weak," said the boss, seeing that Mahin did not understand.

"Boss, I don't know then," replied Mahin.

"It's because you are not taking a complete picture and don't know how to act at critical times," said the boss.

"I do not understand what you are saying," replied Mahin.

"Who are we? How do we live? What do we do?" asked the boss.

"We are gangsters and live by looting nearby villages," replied Mahin.

"Yes, so our most basic thing is to always be active against outside attacks. But now, you have called all the brothers here to extinguish the fire, with no one left to keep an eye on the outside. This same mistake you have done three days before and let that boy enter the villa without anyone knowing. I thought you would be able to find your mistake and correct it after losing two of our brothers. But you have not even realized that mistake yet. So, it is better if you give the co-leader position to someone else," explained the boss.

Understanding his big mistake, Mahin was also grateful to the boss for not punishing him and even pointing out his mistake.

"Yes, boss, after extinguishing this fire, I will resign from co-leader and give it to someone else who is worthy of this. I will order two brothers to go and guard the backdoor and terrace," said Mahin.

Seeing Mahin like this, the boss left his hand from the gun hidden behind his back. "It's good Mahin knows what's good. Otherwise, if he still insists on keeping his position, then I have to clean myself that position," the boss thought as he moved toward the fire.

The fire had drawn the attention of the villagers, who were now surrounding the villa. Noah watched from his hiding place as the gang members tried to put out the flames, shouting and arguing with each other. He knew that this distraction would give him and his team the opportunity they needed to take down the gang once and for all.

Outside, Sohan suggested that they attack now, taking advantage of the confusion and chaos. But Greg was hesitant.

He knew they needed to wait for Noah's signal before launching a full-scale attack. "We can't risk blowing our cover," he said. "Let's wait for Noah's signal, and then we'll strike."

Seeing two members of the gang leave the hall, Noah thought it was a good thing; otherwise, it would be a difficult task to handle all the gangsters at the same time.

Now in the hall, there were still seven people left. Sure enough, there were three more members of this gang. Grandpa was right about more members in the gang.

When the boss reached the fire and smelled the fuel with a mixture of blood, he knew that something was amiss. Before the gangster told him about the fire, he already got suspicious.

He could smell the fuel and recognized that the fire had been deliberately set. When Noah heard the boss saying about his findings to Mahin,

When Noah heard Boss talking to Mahin about his findings, he knew that he couldn't delay any longer. He quickly pulled out his mobile-shaped device and pressed the button, sending a signal to Greg and the rest of the team.

As he waited for their response, he could hear the gang leader and his men moving around, trying to figure out what was going on. But before they could mount a defense, it was too late. Three people burst into the villa with great energy.
