Chapter 3 - Controversial Views

The news of the proposed development project created a buzz of excitement and tension in the village. Some residents saw it as an opportunity for growth and success, while others were more wary and concerned. They were worried that the changes would disrupt their way of living and bring more issues than solutions.

However, there was a faction of villagers who were completely against the development. They perceived it as a risk to their safety and well-being and felt that their homes and source of income were in jeopardy. They believed that the development would attract dangerous individuals and cause the peaceful village to become chaotic.

These differing perspectives caused a division among the villagers. On one hand, there were those who wanted progress and saw development as a necessary advancement. On the other hand, there were those who wanted to preserve their customs and way of life and saw the development as a threat to everything they valued.

Gossip began to circulate throughout the village, intensifying the conflict. Some villagers whispered that Noah, the man leading the project, had a murderous background and wanted to harm all the villagers. This caused the villagers to question Noah's motives and distrust him even more.

The situation was becoming increasingly explosive, as the opposing views sparked arguments and tempers rose. The village seemed to be on the brink of a civil war.

It is important to note that the majority of the village's population, including the disabled, young, old, and women, were not physically strong enough to fight. This added to the worry, as they were vulnerable to getting caught in the crossfire.

Amidst all the turmoil, the village High Priest made a decisive move. He instructed the villagers to support Noah and the development project, regardless of their personal opinions. This was a powerful and final decision that could not be altered.

Despite their fears and reservations, the villagers followed the High Priest's orders. They knew they could not ignore the authority of their spiritual leader, and they had to put aside their personal beliefs for the benefit of the village.

And so, the development project moved forward, bringing both hope and fear, advancement and uncertainty. The villagers watched and waited, uncertain about the future, but aware that their lives would never be the same.

With the news of the proposed development project spreading throughout the village, a group of villagers who were eager to support Noah in his efforts began their planning. Noah himself went to the temple to meet with his aunt, who was shocked when she learned of his intentions.

"Noah, you can't do this," she scolded, tears streaming down her face. "If something happens to you, I don't know what I'll do. I'll go to the High Priest and cancel this plan. You're just a 10-year-old boy, what can you do? You can't go. Just go to your room and sleep, you're not going anywhere."

But Noah was determined. "Aunt, believe me, I can do this," he replied. "You know I'm strong. We can't just sit back and do nothing about the gang. Sooner or later, we'll all be in danger."

Sighing, his aunt relented. "Okay, if you've made up your mind, then be careful," she said, before leaving the temple. With the support of the villagers who were willing to help him and the encouragement of his aunt, Noah felt more confident in his mission. The development project was moving forward, bringing both hope and fear, progress and uncertainty.

As night fell, Noah geared himself up for an information-gathering mission. Upon stepping outside, he encountered the high priest standing and waiting for him. Noah approached the priest and asked, "Grandpa, what are you doing here?"

The priest handed Noah a package and said, "Take this with you, it may be of use and help." He then added, "Noah, you are doing a great job. Have no fear, for God will be with you."

The priest continued, "Do not be merciful and do what is necessary, as God has ordained. If you must take up your sword and fight, do not hesitate." He spoke these words while gazing at the statue of God in the temple.

Finally, the priest told Noah, "Go now, and may God protect you."

With a heavy heart, Noah took the package from the High Priest and set out into the night, determined to gather the information he needed. The Priest's words echoed in his mind, giving him the strength and courage to carry on.

As he made his way through the dark, Noah couldn't help but feel the weight of the task ahead of him. He was only 10 years old, but he was already taking on the responsibility of a grown man. But he was also determined to do what was right for his village, no matter what the cost.

He clutched the package tightly in his hand, taking comfort in the Priest's words. He knew that he could rely on the guidance of the gods and that he was doing what was right.

With a renewed sense of purpose, Noah continued on, his eyes fixed on the horizon and his heart filled with hope. The night was dark, but he was not afraid. He had the protection of the gods, and he knew that he would succeed in his mission.
