--- Deep Within The River Okeanos ---
" Sigh... trouble brews once more. But why do I have to do all the heavy work! " exclaimed a resigned Oceanus.
Oceanus was a giant of a man, not unlike others of his kind. He had a grey beard, braided like the tentacles of the Kraken. Grey kelp-like hair, and a loosely worn Chiton, his torso exposed. Not unlike his siblings, they were all clothed with the most extravagant cloths and treasures.
" I can't mess this up, if mother herself was involved this.. " He thought seriously, recalling the events of when he and his siblings dethroned, castrated and killed their father Ouranos at the request of their mother, Gaea.
" It's time, my Lord. " Reminded an unnamed nymph by his side.
" Fine, inform them of my departure, and set up a banquet for my return. Sigh.. " Oceanus says, anxious of the mission ahead. Make no mistake, he was not afraid! Chaos forbid, but one war was enough for him, Oceanus shudders in memory of his late father's might. He really does not want to go through that again.
And so, the mighty Titan of the river that borders the world, set off, maybe for one of the last times.
--- 2 weeks later, Hydra home ---
Five terrible heads, purposeful steps, a long tail crawling on the ground. Akin to a snake gliding through the earth with frightening speed for its size. Giant trails and indents cast into the soil. A beast of epic proportions.
So colossal, their heads can be seen above the tallest trees in the forest. Teeth and nails proudly displayed, looking sharp enough to rend through the most divine of metal. Poisonous drool simultaneously drip from them, a waterfall of malicious intent.
An aura of regality and pride, like they know they were meant to dominate the cosmos. Their mere presence sending the laws of the world haywire! Animals having long evacuated in fear, leaving only the strongest of magical beasts to roam their territory without fear.
Yet for this Hydra, it was nothing but a leisurely stroll through his home. It seemed all was good, their power was advancing fast! They felt they were nothing like the Hydra of the past now. Now they have a rival to repeatedly beat down, tempered instincts and enough battle experience to dominate all that they can reach. Their connection to Chaos is the strongest it has ever been!
" Sniff... Sniff.. Something... Familiar. Here? Hmm. Not. Good. " They murmur to themselves. They could feel it, as each head assesses the air, they can feel the turmoil brewing in the distance and their instincts warned them to be cautious.
" Crackle... Crackle..... Fwoooooo~ CRACKLE!.." And right on cue, The sky, as if showing its displeasure, began to crackle with lighting, and rain started to pour heavily onto the land below.
Ten eyes narrowed, muscles tightened in vigilance, Chaos energy already being shaped to the Hydra's will, They were ready to strike!
--- The Other Side ---
~ Oceanus, I am in position. ready yourself, we do not know what kind of abomination Gaea has made for her malicious plans. ~ Atlas said telepathically, stationing himself right outside the dense massive forest that was connected to a big shore.
The last time he was here, The forest had already been restored. Atlas wondered how someone was able to restore a forest that had a star dropped on it so fast. That was, until he discovered traces of Gaea's energy, seemingly forming a protective array that enshrouded everything within in total secrecy.
If it were any other being to do this, It would have been noticed, but alas, Gaea's was the Earth herself, and the energy used here was no different from the lifeforce that ran in the ground, plants and peaks.
Atlas was certain this was Gaea's doing, and he was sure it was connected to that foul poisonous energy. Even from where he stood, he felt like it was about to take his lifeforce! But he wouldn't fall, for he was the strongest Titan! The titan of Strength and endurance himself! No cowardly poison could ever breach his impenetrable skin!
~ I see... Very well then, I will start now, be wary... ~ Oceanus replied, still somewhat upset that Kronos demanded so much from him.
" On it! Oh, River From Which The Sun, Moon, And Stars Rose And Fell! Okeanos! Head my call! Flood my enemies! " Oceanus declared mightily.
Instantly, from where Oceanus was, walking on the surface on the sea just a mile or so away from the shore, the sea pulled back! As if reined by the skies itself, the sea rose into a giant Tsunami! It was easily mountains high! The sheer size of the wave shadowed even the heavens.
With a wave of his hand, the tsunami rushed forward, bringing devastation onto the land. It was as if the sea had suddenly decided to overtake the Earth! Trees were uprooted, all of the remaining magical entities were all washed away. It was complete destruction! And even then, the colossal wave did not subside, it continued to pool within the forest. Seemingly contained and determined to make this place uninhabitable. From a distance, all that could be seen was a self contained sea, raging and raging in its own little world.
' Surely! Surely! That took care of all of it? " Oceanus thought with ragged breaths, deciding to put most of his divine prowess into the attack, hoping to end everything early. He was spent, if this didn't work, and whatever was in there was still alive, then he would have to hide or retreat. Oceanus concluded with a grim expression.
But as if the fates were laughing at him, and Destiny wanted to make a fool out of him. From within the sea of debris and decimation, came- 'one, two, three, four.. five... five pairs of eyes!' He thought mirthlessly. Really, it seemed that he was right, on the wrong thing. There was an abomination in there, and it was NOT dead.
It seemed Gaea's veil was destroyed in the attack, with her having spent minimal energy to create it, lest the Gods and Titans notice a random giant formation of energy. And it unveiled, unfortunately, a very, very enraged creature.
