" Unforgivable... " One said.
" How DARE they! " Another added.
" THOSE WRETCHED WORMS! " And another.
" UNFORGIVABLE! " Said the fourth.
" ABSOLUTELY UNFORGIVABLE!! " They all chorused, voices trembling in righteous RAGE!
This was truly an insult of the highest degree! Who did they think they were!? To think that this magnificent Hydra thought of leaving them alone before!
" YOU!- YOU. WILL. PAY!! " All five heads roared into the heavens, flailing around the air with enough force to destroy the already ruined surroundings. Threatening- no, promising! Revenge and retribution! To think these bigoted, bird-brained, single-headed Titans would destroy his own birthplace! " FOUL. TITAAANSS!!" They cursed.
On Atlas' side,
Hearing the menacing voices even from miles away, with the malicious choir of voices promising destruction onto their esteemed Pantheon.
" Hmph! We'll see about that.. " Murmured the General of the Titans to himself. Ever confident of his victory. Steam erupting from his nostrils and muscles taut in attention.
With Oceanus,
" Seems like confrontation is inevitable... " Oceanus resigned, paying outmost attention onto the five headed abomination, looking out for any sudden movements-
When suddenly, The great beast straightened up, and reared it's many heads. Oceanus, seeing the cosmic purple glowing fiercely between it's scales, readied himself with all of the available divine energy he had left.
Atlas, seeing the inevitable start of the clash, started rushing in early, not willing to see what the enemy will do.
And so, with Oceanus looking with apprehension along the horizon, Atlas dashing like a raging bull from behind, crossing miles and miles within steps, and a giant Hydra comparable to the most towering of Titans in between all wielding the very concepts that make up the foundation of everything, the battle has officially begun.
With one of the heads spotting the incoming juggernaut of a Titan and another noticing the dreary state of the other giant, they quickly decided to change gears from a concentrated beam of energy and opt for a body modification attack in response.
With Chaos welling in their chest, hazardous blood pumping, knees weak, claws are heavy, and teeth poised to strike, they unleashed havoc in the form of transfiguring themselves into hundreds and possibly thousands of basilisk-like forms.
With the main body of the enemy scattered and aiming for a counterstrike with outstretched fangs, Atlas decides to put his hands up, hoping to take out a piece of the giant swarm of serpents. Mentally telling Oceanus to support him with long ranged magic, they were able to take out 1/3 of the giant swarm within seconds.
" BOOOOOOM! " The sound barrier had already broke several times from Atlas' charge, vaporizing the serpents.
" Fizzle! Fizzle.. " The swarm were picked picked off one by one, two by two from the barrage of thousands of high powered water jets from the River Titan.
But not without repercussions, not to mention the already drained reserves of Oceanus, who decided to recuperate immediately, Atlas' impenetrable skin was layered with cuts and bruises and was being invaded by the rain of poison. As it turns out, the serpents would evaporate into streams of toxic blight. Infused with Chaos, the toxins were worming into his system with ravenous efficiency, eating away at his magic reserves. Luckily, Atlas did not use magic much, but rather unfortunately, the poison had paralyzing effects.
Now with slightly slower movements, an even more spent reserve of energy and an ever decreasing swarm of serpents, It seems this first exchange was more or less equal.
" Tch! To think I would face difficulty against a mindless beast. " Atlas had always prided himself in his strength, and for a snake known for their underhanded methods of hunting were to have an equal exchange of prowess says a lot about their situation.
" We must make this swift Atlas! We both know we won't last in an extended fight! " Oceanus reminded Atlas gravely. Both sides knew this was just a probing attack meant to evaluate each sides strength, and it wasn't looking good.
And so, with a harrumph and a choir of hisses from both sides, both reengaged once more.
with a mighty charge, each step straining the very Earth Atlas ran on. This time channeling his divinity, multiplying his momentum and speed by several times. With each step, increasing in velocity, even the air rippled in response to the immense force generated.
The world shook, the sky shook, the sun seemed as if it was loosing balance from the might of Atlas, and literally everything else trembled with each of Atlas towering steps. He wasn't holding back, he decided! Titan or not, Atlas was a General of a Pantheon! As well as being the second strongest Titan, almost surpassing Kronos if not for the King's pesky divinity.
It seemed the Hydra sensed the immense danger this attack presented. Especially in this spread out form, they would stand no chance. So they stopped holding back as well.
Veins glowing an ethereal purple once more, energy welling up in each serpent's body.
In a starry display of power, each of the remaining vessels of the Hydra suddenly exploded into motes of light, reconvening into their previous Fortress-like form.
" RAAAHH! " Atlas roared!
" RAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! " They fiercely chorused in response.
" Badump... Badump... Badump!.. " With the thrumming of Chaos, a very familiar ability was forming.
Jagged! Sharp! Giant spires of scales and thorns formed on their frame! Indeed, it seemed that this Hydra had picked up a thing or two from their rival. Akin to a Mountain of giant swords, the Hydra braced itself, each colossal spine of scale laced with poison and their signature energy.
" BOOOOO---.... " The impact was so devastating that it rendered the immediate area into a complete void of space, rendering any sound impossible.
In complete silence, two figures were revealed. One a terrifying behemoth, injured beyond measure, cracked scales, organs obliterated and 2 decimated heads reduced to stumps, with all the remaining ones stuck with their teeth lodged into the other figure.
Atlas, it seemed, was no different. The esteemed General was more wound than skin, with hundred of spiked spines, some as large as pillars of stone, others as small as a tree's root, laced with poison wrecking his impaled body.
Two fortress sized bodies, looking no different from corpses were left standing on the completely obliterated crater. There was absolutely no life nor anything other than the combatants for miles and miles. Their exchange having shook reality itself.
Yet, both were still going, with Atlas and his endless stamina and the Hydra and its famed regeneration.
" O-Oceanus!.. huff.. " Atlas called out weakly with ragged breaths.
" On it! " With magic sparking into reality, Oceanus successfully teleported Atlas back to his side, earning both sides some space.
And yet, the fight was far from over.
