After a few minutes of observing his and his territory's status he then moved to another button. The 'Shop' button. A series of buttons then presented themselves on the screen. Sam also noticed something at the top right corner of the screen.
Gold: 15
" 15 gold? Is this free or...." Sam wondered how he got 15 gold. " Maybe it was a freebie from the system?"
On the upper left was a bell-like button. It was small so he wasn't able to notice it at first, but there was a red dot on it. After pressing it a few messages appeared.
[ Your subordinate 'Xyra' has killed a Goblin. ]
[ Xyra has gained 10 experience points. ]
[ You have gained 5 experience points. ]
[ Your subordinate 'Derrick' has killed a Goblin. ]
[ Derrick has gained 10 experience points. ]
[ You have gained 5 experience points. ]
It was messages from the battle that happened before. Experience points are gained by his subordinates when they kill monsters. Maybe it was a way for them to level up or grow stronger.
Xyra gained a total of 20 experience points, as well as Derrick, with Daniel only gaining 10. There was also an added bonus because of Sam being owner of the territory, he gained 25 experience points as well. He then checked the status of his subordinates.
Xyra Hart
Level: 1
Skills: Passive:Hunter
Exp: 20/500
Potential: Peak Gold
Derrick Berg
Level: 1
Skills: N/A
Exp: 20/500
Potential: Mid Bronze
Daniel Berg
Level: 1
Skills: N/A
Exp: 10/500
Potential: High Bronze
Five hundred experience points, for a Low Bronze to become a Mid Bronze. For a single person to level up they are required to fight an army, 50 goblins for 1 person.
For his subordinates to grow stronger, he needs to kill 150 goblins. That seems unimaginable. There would be a mountain of corpses and a river of blood. Sam's brain was running at light speed.
He started analyzing the things he needed to do in the future. At the moment however, according to the status of his subordinates, it was a pipe dream. Even if he could ambush five goblins and take them down, one hundred and fifty seemed impossible. To summon that amount, he needs 50 days. Just to level up once, he might need 150 days.
A few minutes ago, after checking the status of the territory, more specifically, the novice shield. It would only last for 5 days, and after that it would disappear. Not knowing what lurks in the jungle, or the world. He wanted to prepare.
" The first day I arrived, there were already Goblins hunting me down, I don't know what else is in this jungle. " Sam was starting to think about dark thoughts, it was a bit of a habit for him. Since he was small, bad things would always happen, so the idea of something going terribly wrong stuck with him till he grew up. It was something that he became comfortable with.
" Gotta prepare early for bad luck. " He then started to explore the shop further. There are different options. There was an icon for a sword, an icon of a shirt, an icon of a small glass bottle with a cork, and a house icon, an icon with a table and chair. The last icon was that of bars of some metal, behind it was plants and herbs.
Weapons, Clothes, Potions, Buildings, Decorations and Materials. At the bottom, there was also an icon of an ancient weight scale. After pressing it, it appeared to be the auction function.
" There seems to be a lot of functions in the shop menu. The status on the other hand, as its name suggests, lists the status of the territory, the owner and the citizens on said territory. " Sam was analysing the functions of the stone tablet. It was closely similar to computers that he was accustomed to.
At the Weapons shop, there were many items on sale. Numbering in the millions. At the very top, after opening, the first item on sale was a book. Looking old, and rotten. It cost more than 20 million gold. Sam tried to check its description but he was not able to open it.
Scrolling down, the list was never ending. Sam then decided to change the sorting out the list, from the cheapest to the most expensive. The screen loaded and new items appeared. The first item cost 1 gold. A wooden slingshot. " it's cheap, but based on the previous battle, I don't think a slingshot would work at all."
Sam then looked for a more reasonable weapon. The first one was a sword, it had a wooden handle and the blade was metal. It cost three gold. Just like before, he wasn't able to see the description. " Maybe it needs to be bought first. " Sam thought, as he then proceeded to check the other weapons.
Below the sword, were spears. Wooden base, with a leather handle and metal blade. It was a bit more expensive. Five gold coins.
" So, one goblin is equal to one sword. It's not a bad deal. "
