[ Player talent can be unlocked! ]
" Unlick it now!" Sam couldn't hold back his excitement.
'What if get an amazing talent? Wouldn't I become a super hero of sorts?'
[ Talent has been unlocked ]
[ Congratulations! you have unlocked the rare silver talent, Bestow. ]
Talent: Bestow
Level: Silver
Skill Rarity: Rare
Cool down: 36 hours.
Description:
Bestow, a skill used by ancient wizards. The user can Bestow a skill to person or entity. The skill bestowed is based on the person's or entity's profession and potential.
Note:
* The skill bestowed cannot be higher than the level of the skill itself.
* Cannot be used on oneself.
A weird feeling came over, Sam closed his eyes to try and feel the changes in his body. Although he waited for a few seconds, nothing that significant happened, only a cold feeling in his chest that quickly faded.
" Bestow? that's not bad. So I'll be able to bestow a skill to other people? but not me? "
Although a little disappointed, the skill seemed quite useful.
Sam scratched his head in thought. It seemed that the skill he had was better than average. From the short interaction he had with the local chat, it seemed that the silver level of his skill was in the middle in terms of strength.
Each Skill or Talent has a latent stage in terms of strength and usage. The first and weakest, Bronze level, The second is Iron, and the skill Sam unlocked was in the third level, Silver level, so it was fairly strong. After that, Gold, Diamond and Platinum. Six levels in total the strongest being Platinum.
In terms of rarity. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Unique, Mythical, and lastly Legendary. This ranking depends on the skill itself and how much it is seen in the world. Common, being a skill used by most, and Legendary Skills seen only once in a thousand years.
" It seems my skill is pretty decent. Not too strong and not too weak, not lucky and at the same time not unlucky. "
Sam couldn't help but smile, the future was not that dark.
" It said earlier that I there's only one citizen at the moment, should I just wait for people to arrive? " He continued to look through the stone tablet, reading the different descriptions.
'I've thought about this for a while now' Sam looked around the empty hall.
"Doesn't this feel like a real time strategy building game? Although I'm not an avid gamer, I used to play on my phone whenever I'm on break. " Growing up poor, Sam didn't have the leisure to play games, instead he had to work, what little game he played, he wasn't an expert in.
As if he remembered something important, Sam left the hall and went to the Broken building next to it. It was the Rusted Summoning Portal. It was a circular portal, the pillars were overgrown with moss and other vegetation, the iron ring was rusted.
It was built in a marble floor with intricate markings that spread wide. It looked like it was chiseled by hand to create some sort of pattern.
[ Rusted Summoning Portal. Can be claimed ]
" Is there any requirement? Like the last building?" Sam waited a few minutes, and circled the Portal to see if a window would pop up, but there was nothing.
" Claim! "
[ Congratulations! Rusted Summoning Portal has been claimed. ]
The wind started to blow stronger causing dust and debri to blow all over the place. The rust along with the moss and vegetation was blown away as well. It was like the wind was cleaning the portal.
A few more second later, the markings at the floor started to light up one by one. The light seemed attracted to the middle of the portal. After that a strange white light with blue streaks lit up the entire portal.
[ The Portal has been activated. ]
Portal Level: 1
Summon Cooldown: 24 hours
Number of summons per use: 3
Description:
Each Player has a portal of their own, and based on it's level, a player can summon citizens for their territory.
" So this is how I populate my Territory. There is a max number of people that can be summoned. With a Cooldown of 1 day, I think it wouldn't last long before I have an army, like those games I played."
" The only problem is that my skill Cooldown is too long. I would only be able to bestow a skill twice every three days, I suppose that's enough. "
[ The Summoning Portal has one free use. ]
" Okay! Use it please. "
The portal began to shine with blue and white light. The blue and white light started to swirl and soon a few silhouette could be seen.
One by one, people started to walk through the portal. Two men and one woman. They were standing perfectly still for a few seconds, but then suddenly as if waking up, they started to look around.
One on the men even started coughing and fell down. Sam immediately came beside him and helped him up.
" Are you okay? "
" Yes, I'm okay my lord. I apologize for my rudeness. "
Sam was a little shocked being called a lord. Also by the fact that they already seemed to know that he was the one that summoned them.
" You.. why do call me lord? "
The Man that seemed weak was shocked and showed a terrified face. Before he could say anything however, the only women in the group answered first. She kneeled and said loudly..
" Please forgive us my lord, we didn't wish to offend you. "
It was a misunderstanding, and Sam understood. With a wry smile he raised her up.
" That's not what I meant, of course I know you didn't mean to offend me. "
The three people stood up and seemed relieved.
" My name is Sam, It seems that starting from today, I will be your new Lord. "
