Chapter 4 - Not so good

Sasha stood in front of the mirror, nervously twirling a strand of hair around her finger. She had been looking forward to the hot guy's birthday party for hours, but now that the day had finally arrived, she felt more uncertain than ever. Despite her best efforts to put together a stunning outfit, she still felt like she looked frumpy and out of place.

She wasn't the type of girl who loved wearing fancy outfits. She loved wearing pants and oversized t-shirts. Her looks were unique and she felt comfortable in her own fashion sense.

Her once sleek hair was now a frizzy mess, and her makeup was smudged from the rush of getting ready. She had opted for a tight-fitting dress, but today it just seemed to accentuate all the wrong areas. She decided to wear a more comfortable attire.

Sasha took a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to shake off the negative thoughts. She had worked hard to earn the invitation to the party, and she was not going to let her insecurities ruin the evening.

She reached for her bag and checked her appearance one last time. Her dress was still rumpled and her hair was still frizzy, but she reminded herself that it didn't matter. She was confident and beautiful just the way she was.

With newfound determination, Sasha opened the door and stepped out into the night, ready to make the most of the hot guy's birthday party. Despite her misgivings, she knew that she would have a fantastic time, and that nothing could dampen her spirit.

She hastily went to the driveway and entered in her car. She started driving as she headed towards the birthday's venue. After half an hour she had finally arrived at her destination. Sasha approached the mansion with a mix of excitement and nerves. She had been looking forward to this birthday party, ever since she received the invitation from the hot guy she had been crushing on.

The mansion was a stunning sight to behold. Its grand facade was lit up with strings of fairy lights that twinkled in the night sky, casting a warm glow on the surrounding garden. The well-manicured lawn was dotted with beautifully arranged flower beds and towering trees that swayed gently in the breeze. Sasha could hear the sound of music and laughter coming from inside the house, and she felt a rush of anticipation as she walked up the path towards the entrance.

She was greeted at the door by a smiling butler who led her into the foyer, a large, airy space with a marble floor and a sweeping staircase that led up to the second floor. Sasha looked around in awe, taking in the elegant furnishings and expensive artwork that adorned the walls. She had never been in a place like this before, and she felt a little out of place in her simple dress and high heels.

As she made her way deeper into the house, Sasha found herself in the grand ballroom. It was filled with people dancing, laughing, and chatting, and the atmosphere was electric. She was an introvert who loved to spend most of her times in the house. She wasn't an outgoing person and rarely attended birthday parties. That's why she was feeling out of place.

Sasha had been searching for the hot guy for what felt like hours. She had been so caught up in the festive atmosphere of the party that she had lost track of him. She decided to take a break from the dance floor and try to find him. She made her way through the crowded room, searching for any sign of him.

Just as she was about to give up, she caught a glimpse of him near the washrooms. She saw him speaking to a beautiful girl, and her heart sank. She felt a pang of jealousy and she couldn't help but approach them discreetly to see what they were talking about. She hid herself behind a large potted plant, trying to listen in on their conversation.

"I'm so glad you could make it tonight," she heard the hot guy say. "I've been looking forward to talking to you."

The girl smiled, batting her eyelashes. "Of course, I wouldn't have missed your birthday for anything."

Sasha felt a knot form in her stomach as she listened to their conversation. She couldn't believe that the hot guy, who she had been crushing on, was speaking to someone else like this. She felt a mix of emotions – anger, jealousy, and sadness – all coursing through her veins.

"I've been meaning to ask you something," the hot guy continued. "I was hoping you might be interested in going out with me sometime."

The girl smiled, her eyes lighting up. "I would love that."

Sasha felt her heart drop. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had thought that maybe, just maybe, the hot guy was interested in her, but now she realized she was just another girl in a sea of admirers.

She stayed hidden, feeling a mix of sadness and confusion. She didn't know what to do or what to think. She just knew that she needed to get out of there and clear her head. As she was about to leave the guy started to talk. "But we will date on a contract and I have some rules that you have to follow," the hot guy stated. Sasha couldn't move at that time as she wanted to hear more about the contract.

"Ooh alright I will first look at the contract," the girl mentioned as she opened her phone. The hot guy had already sent her the contract. As she was reading her eyes were widening as she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"I can't do this. Even if you are cute and rich can't keep up with your rules and demand," the girl politely told him. He couldn't believe that the girl was turning him down. No other woman had ever done this to him before.

"Why all the girls have been with don't have a problem with that," the hot guy stated. He was trying to decipher what had just happened.

"I can't I have to leave," the girl stated as she left his side. Sasha felt a wave of relaxation hit her as the girl rejected him. She knew that this was the best time for her to be closer to him.

"You can now come now I saw you," the hot guy mentioned as he headed towards where Sasha was hiding.
