Ellie walked through the caves, making her way back toward where she had been hatched, occasionally stopping to make a mark on the cave wall with a piece of flint she had found. Every once in a while, her crystal sense ability would alert her to a crystal nearby, but most of the time it was inside a rock wall, or in some adjacent passage she couldn't reach. Sometimes, however, she would find a loose blue crystal on the ground that hadn't been eaten for some reason. She placed these crystals into her inventory. As she became used to using the menu, she learned that each slot had an endless capacity but could only hold one type of item.
'I bet I could store a mountain in this thing if I was given enough time', Ellie thought while chewing on a crystal she had just fished out of a crack in the wall.
Her inventory had only three slots open, and one was occupied by the blue crystals she was picking up.

An hour later, and many notifications later, she arrived back where she had hatched. The glowing lizards scattered in fear as soon as she arrived, and a few even made some sort of "yelping" noise while doing so. Ellie made her way through the tunnel where she had eaten the first crystal, placing about half of them in her inventory along the way. The crystals got bigger the further she went, and so did the lizards. Lizards covered her vision, from floor to ceiling, but none of them dared to come any closer. It was almost as if there was an invisible shield around her that none dared to cross. Ellie reached out and picked up a small lizard from the wall, and it went limp in her hand, not even daring to blink.
'Wow, these guys really can't handle being near me, huh?' Ellie put the lizard back on the wall, and it yelped as it ran away as fast as its little legs could carry it.
She shrugged her shoulders and continued to harvest half of the crystals, as she didn't want to leave the lizards without any food to eat. As she reached the point where the crystals grew to about one meter in height, they began to be rejected from the inventory slot.
{Incompatible Item Type: New Slot Advised}
'I guess that makes sense, they are way bigger than the earlier ones.' Ellie placed her palm on the big blue crystal, and it disappeared into the second inventory slot.
Soon, Ellie had collected over a hundred of these big crystals, ranging in size from one meter to about 1.5 meters. As she placed her hand on the next crystal to put away, a dull glow started to emanate from the walls, and a trembling began.
