Susan's outburst shocked them. What did she say? They did all that because they were obligated to serve her? That was certainly not the case but somehow, they couldn't refute it.
"You see, all the things you did, in a normal friendship, that would never be tolerated." Susan said as tears rolled down her face uncontrollably.
"You guys never treated me as an equal or a friend." She sniffed. "Rather, you treated me like someone who was above you. Someone you respected! Someone who you couldn't touch, your priority!" She placed a hand on her forehead. "It's no wonder I ..." She smiled through her tears. It was a sad smile. "It's no wonder I always felt there was an invisible wall between us. You guys were never..." She choked on her sob but cleaned her tears with her palms and looked aside.
