Claudia was looking through her vanity drawers for a hair accessory, and Alice walked to where she was to look over her shoulder. Alice pointed at the tiny little pale yellow bows that were still in its packaging that came with over fifty pieces. It was certainly going to be a fun detail to the outfit.
Alice patted the chair cushion. "Have a seat. I'll braid some small strands of your hair so that the tiny bows have somewhere they can stay on."
"Okay, but maybe like four to five on each side."
"That many?"
Claudia crossed her ankles. "Well for the top and bottom of the strand right?"
Alice shrugged as she separated some of the golden hair and started to braid. "I guess so. Do you have the clear rubber bands?"
Claudia reached behind her blindly to open a drawer and hand her a pink mesh bag. Alice grabbed a hair tie and finished the little braids so that it would add more dimension to Claudia's hair before clipping on the pale yellow bows that looked white from afar, but it was still pretty.
Alice pulled out the strands a little bit to make them more flowy before nodding. "It's perfect."
Her friend turned around to stare at her reflection in the mirror before swishing her hair back and forth. "Ooh, I like it. Something fresh."
Claudia placed on the rest of her gold jewelry before standing grabbing a black handbag and turning to Alice. "Are you ready?"
"Yes," Alice answered after fluffing her hair. "Let's take a mirror photo quick."
"Okay, come here," Claudia said as they took a few steps to the left to go to the grand mirror that was white but had gold accents.
Alice hugged Claudia to the side as Claudia snapped a few shots before doing a few more poses such as a kissy face, cool expression, and whatnot before Claudia placed the phone down so that Alice could see. She swiped through the photos and liked a few of them. "This one's cute. The lighting hits us perfectly here."
Claudia smacked Alice's side. "Yes. We're so cute. I'll send you them later."
"Thank you, thank you. I want to post some later."
"Go for it."
Alice also took out her phone to scroll through her feed really quickly and liked some photos of friends before responding to comments on her most recent post of her in the radio host room. It was a photo that everyone had taken before she and Noah left, and Alice smiled at the warm comments of support.
The photo had Rita and Sharon standing in the front with Noah and Liam standing behind Alice to Noah's side and Daphne to Liam's. It was a funny photo with Rita awkwardly smiling into the camera, Sharon adding bunny ears to Rita, Daphne with her wink, Liam leaning his body back with a grin, and Noah and Alice leaning toward each other with a bright smile.
She didn't think she had to tag Noah in it since he said that he didn't want to have a social media presence, but she later got a text from him saying that he didn't deserve to be treated this way. Alice sent him an annoyed gif in return knowing that he was only trying to raise her ire, but it wasn't going to work.
"Girls!" Marion called. "Come down to eat!"
Alice clapped her hands together in excitement. "Yay. I'm so excited to eat."
"Marion's just happy to see you," Claudia laughed.
They walked down the hallway and down the stairs, and Alice's mouth started to water having scented the fresh bread and other breakfast foods. They walked over to the table where all the food was set up, and Alice knew that there was no way that the three of them could ever finish all of the food.
"Eat up," Marion said as she wiped her hands on the apron. "But before we do so, let's say grace."
Alice inclined her head as she closed her eyes to listen to Marion's soft words before fluttering her eyes open again and sitting down. Claudia passed a plate over to Alice, and Alice loaded it up before looking up at Marion who seemed content with only watching them eat. That wasn't going to slide with her.
"Please eat with us, Marion," Alice said. "There's going to be too much food for all of us."
"Well of course there's too much food," Marion said slowly. "I was going to take the extras down to the daycare nearby."
Alice smiled. "That's sweet of you to do so."
Claudia nodded. "I didn't know that you did that Marion."
Marion raised an eyebrow at Claudia. "If only you stayed at home more often instead of going out with all those boys that I'm seeing more often nowadays you would know."
Claudia choked and raised a hand. "Guilty."
"Don't tell me that it's Marion opening the door to the suitors who are waiting at the doorstep," Alice laughed. "I'm sure they're all scared off by now."
Claudia snorted. "They are."
