Returning to the hospital room, I see Raven in his everyday clothing with his scarf back on. Jumping through the window back into the room, he asks. "Something wrong?"
Looking at him, I say. "This is the fourth floor? How did you get here?"
Raising his eyebrow he points to the window. "The window? You just watched me climb back in." Raising my hands, I say. "This doesn't make sense, you have a broken leg! How the hell did you climb here?"
Waving me off, he tells me to get dressed. "We're getting out of here, I have something to show you." Looking around, he places a box of my clothes on my bed.
"I don't think it will work....." Pulling out a sleeve that's not even attached to the shirt, Raen sighs. "Just.... put it on for now, we will go buy clothes after we leave."
Not seeing much of an option. I put on my torn-up kimono. "Just out of curiosity, why didn't your clothes get all torn up?" Slapping his jacket, he smiles. "Graphene and Kevlar."
Nodding my head, I tie the traditional belt around my waist. "So how do you plan to get-" Not finishing my question, I see Raven halfway through the window.
"Fair enough." Climbing out, Raven holds onto the window frame. Letting go, he catches himself on the window a floor below. "Nope," Just seeing him do that, I leave for the hall. Leaving the patient ward, I find stairs leading to the ground floor.
Spotting an empty reception, I thank the gods for my luck.
Walking to the main door, I pull on them only for nothing happened.
It's locked.... Cursing, I look for a key only to see Raven, walk up. Waving at him, he walks over and opens the door. "What are you doing? Let's go!"
Spotting the small sign that says push, I just sigh.
"Nothing, just nothing." Walking the night streets of the night, I ask. "What were you doing outside before?" Blowing fog out of his mouth, he tells me about Marie and Lucy.
"I see.... Do you think we will ever see them again?" Shaking his head, Raven tells me that if we ever see the again it's going to be in the neutral city.
Nodding my head, we see fice thugs come from around the corner. "Why don't we help you lighten up your wallets, boys." Grabbing at my waist, I find my sword, missing.
"Right, we will have to get you a new sword. I highly doubt that it's still intact beneath the ruins of the police station." Without even blinking about the fact, he pulls out a gun and fires his mag.
"RAVEN!" Seeing two of the thugs fall to the ground, I yell. "What the hell?! Didn't you say that we won't kill?! Something about respect?" Pushing on the wound, my hands get covered in his blood.
"Stop it, Ken. These monsters don't deserve it." Lifting the knife, he throws to me. "Chipped blade, and dried blood, the second we would give them our wallets they would kill us."
Looking at him in disbelief, I get up from the dying guy. Spitting at my clothes, he whispers.
"My.... boys... will slaughter you..." His eyes unfocus and his body goes limp. Patting me on the back, Ravne asks. "What's the difference between him and the golden masks?"
"What?" not understanding his question, he rephrases it.
"Why can't you kill these monsters, but the second there's gold on their face, you show no mercy?" Not saying anything, he hands me a blade made from ice. "Take it, you're gonna need it." Talking in a weirdly upbeat tone, he slaps me on the back.
Looking at the sword, Raven walks into an alley out of sight. "What are you-"
"That's him! That's the bastard!" Turning in the direction of the noise, I see a large group of thugs and gangsters. "No! Wait!" Getting trampled by a wild herd of men. I barely get up.
"Wai-" Not being able to finish, I stop a blade with the sword. "Die! I'm gonna skin you alive!"
Shouting so close to my face, I feel his spit land on my face. "Get away!" Kicking him into another guy. I duck under a swinging pipe. "Wait! I didn't do any-"
Feeling my stomach get crushed beneath a pipe, I tense all my muscles. "Fuck this!"
Punching a guy, I raise the sword above my head. "You wanna see me serious?! Then eat this Wolf Blade!" Spinning the blade, I take a step forward. Making a safe circle around me.
One guy has such a great idea to run at me with his weapon high.
...........
"Master, you told us to use our art for good. But what's good? And what's evil?"
Sitting back in the dojo as a kid, the warm spring breeze flies over us. Seeing my master smile. I listen. "Good and evil are concepts of how one should act. Not laws of natural, Good can be bad, and evil can be righteous."
Snipping away at his bonsai tree, I tilt my head. "Then... how do I know that I'm doing good?"
Putting the scissors to the side, he walks over to me. "This will tell you." Pushing his finger into my chest, I look at him. "Your heart tells you everything you need to know."
Placing a wooden sword in my hands he points at my friend. "Hit him." Jumping from his arms, I yell. "No, I don't want to do that!"
Instead of being mad at me for not listening to him, he just started to laugh.
"See? Your heart told you it's the wrong thing to do, so you listened, as long as you do as your heart says you will find happiness."
.............
Opening my eyes, I bring my blade down. Screaming in pain for a second, he soon goes silent... fainting from the pain.
"Following my heart, huh? Well, my heart tells me to get out of here!"
