"Everyone, listen to me…!", Hyber screamed from the beach, the waves breaking against our waists. "We have the manpower, but we lack the speed to deal with that damn eel. And that's because we can't compete with a literal fish inside the water. So, this time we will try something different to get rid of it. I want you all to raise the potions I gave you", The entire Deathbed clan did as the sleepy boy instructed, and I too examined the strange potion given to me in a wooden bottle. "These are puçangas… or something like that. You may remember them from one of our excursions in the jungle, but for those who don't, they are, basically, potions that allow the drinker to turn into animals. In this case, they will transform us into fish so we can fight that damn eel on equal terms…! This is the fifth time we're attempting to get that horn. And this will be the last time. Now, drink the potions…!", Hyber concluded, and chugged down his own potion, followed by everyone else.

As soon as I drank the potion, I felt a tingling heat expanding from my belly to the edges of my body. Then, I felt weak, almost feverish: I fell down into the water, and saw my flesh starting to bubble and wave around, and the bones beneath stretched or contracted, as if I was sleeping in a very unique position. When, suddenly, the transformation seemed to have finished and the tingling uncomfortable, but not painful, sensation went away: my arms and legs had turned into stubs, flappers, and my neck and body were one of the same, and my face had a big snout with hundreds of needle-sharp teeth. Overall, I looked half like a lizard, and half like a fish.

All around me, there were more fishes of all shapes and sizes. By my side, where once stood Ike, then there was a fish with a bony, spiky sword for a nose; and ahead of me, Hyber had turned into a creature similar to the one I've had become, but with a much, much longer and thinner neck.

The sleepy fish swam around, and advanced to the coral ahead, which we could see with more clarity than ever before, and a school of fishes followed him.

And the difference from our previous attempts in adventuring in the sea was visible: we were moving twice, no, four times faster than before, swimming in the ocean as we ran in the ground above, if not faster. This time, for sure, we could it!

We approached the cavernous dragon skull, and waited. Two small white dots, perhaps sniffing up prey, started to glow in the dark, and soon after, the long yellow head snaked away from the jaw of the dead dragon.

No words were uttered, but with a sweep of its tail from Hyber, it was clear it was time to start fighting.

The school of fishes all scattered around the big eel, and everyone started to bite, and conjuring spells, and slamming their bodies against the eel. I tried to go around it, and bite with all my strength into the slim body of the beast.

The eel shirked and spun around in the same place, the centrifugal force hurling all of us who bit into the fish away. But there were still the mage fishes, it was the boys in fish form!

Loa in the form of a shark, followed by a bunch of rays and tunas conjured sinking rock hammers and boulders, and floating spiky and crushing icebergs, and this time our prey wasn't able to simply swim away, for its enemies now were able to follow it.

Twelve-ax conjured a rock which slammed down onto the eel, and the Spoon created ice which pierced up, and the waters around stirred the ocean bottom, and a cloud of blood and sand blinded all of us, fishes.

Had the creature died? Was it still alive?

Not one, but two gaping maws splitting the curtain of dust and blood apart answered that question fairly quickly. It was when a sword slashed back and forth, and a dozen cuts appeared on the cheeks of the eel. Ike was also striking!

The beast swam away from the school of fishes, but was pursued. It was constantly being bitten, scratched, and hit by a myriad of spells. It was being pushed to its limits. And like any cornered animal, it acted ferociously: with disregard for its own life, the eel turned around, swam with all of its force to the surface, breaking through the waves and the lonely canoe floating above, and arched in the air, then turning back to us with its wide-open double jaws. It would try to swallow all of us at once, or die trying!

It was when a hand came off the wood of the canoe itself, and, holding a knife well positioned, let the eel cut itself all the way from the mouth to the tip of its tail.

From the very wood that made the canoe, half of Spruce's body was showing up, as the rest of his being merged perfectly with the material; he frowned and was breathing heavily, still shaking from the surprise attack against the creature.

Creature which came back to the surface, but this time, limp, floating dead.

I wanted to scream "Well done!", but only bubbles and screeches came off my fish mouth, so I swam around the canoe, and jumped up and down, and before I knew it, a whole school of fishes was doing the same, commemorating the defeat of the creature by the little person.

We won!
