Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Uzumaki Tenrou's Notes

Boruto set foot on the third floor.  Several people were immediately attracted by the small yellow child who entered the Chunin area, the contrast was too obvious.

Most of the observers were in their early 20s with a few under that age.  It's just that the third floor is quieter than the previous two floors.  In the open space, there are no more than 12 people at a glance.

Boruto knows a bit of information.  The third floor and above have private reading booths so most people will enter immediately after selecting a book, scroll, manuscript, or similar writing medium.

Boruto doesn't know these people, so he won't take the initiative to get acquainted.  He just went down the bookshelves one by one and started selecting titles.

Not long after, Boruto's gaze was drawn to a book entitled 'Hyuga Clan's Impure Blood'.  He frowned.  From its title, this book seems insulting that the Hyuga Clan has impure blood.  But what is impure blood?

Boruto immediately took this book to a private reading room.  He turned page after page.  Its contents were enough to make him frown.

The essence of this book is to subtly mock the Hyuga Clan.  In the pre-peace era, the Hyuga Clan was divided into two camps.  The first is the Main Family stronghold.  The second is the Branch Families stronghold.

The Branch Families' camp was forced to serve the Main Families' camp.  The Hyuga clan claims that the blood of the branch house is impure, so in order to protect the purity of Hyuga blood, the entire branch house must protect the main house from any harm.

Basically, the important duty of the Main Family is to marry among themselves in order to preserve the pure blood of the Hyuga Clan.  While the duty of the Branch Families is to protect the Main Family with their body and soul.  Branch Families must also marry each other so that there will be no wild offspring leaking out in the future.

Actually at that time, every mainstream clan had similar rules to protect their bloodline.  It's just that no clan goes as extreme as the Hyuga Clan by enslaving a fellow clan member.

Then, the author brings the point of view of this problem to the scope of the village.  Basically, the Branch Families contribute more to the village because they have had the mindset of self-sacrifice since childhood.  For the Branch Families, sacrificing for the village was the same as sacrificing for the Main Family, because the entire Hyuga Clan was a member of Konoha Village.

The author then details the names of the Hyuga Branch Family martyrs who died for the village as well as their great contributions.  Then he compared the names of the Hyuga Main House and their contributions.

At the end, the author asks the reader, 'So, who exactly is the impure blood of the Hyuga Clan?'.

Boruto felt a dilemma.  On the one hand, he disagreed with this way of family slavery.  On the other hand, he knew his biological grandfather, Hiashi Hyuga, was the current Clan Head as well as a member of the Main House.

Boruto knows, since this book was kept intact, that means what the book conveys is not just slander.  In fact, maybe it's closer to the truth.

His perspective on the Hyuga Clan suddenly turned strange.  Before reading this book, he only thought Hyuga Clan was mother's childhood home.  There was a grandfather who often gave him gifts.  There was also his aunt who used to play with him as a child.

After reading the book, this affection became blurred.  It is similar to feeling love-hate with his father, Naruto.  On the one hand, he wants his father's affection.  On the other hand, he didn't want his father to dictate too much.

"Damn book! I shouldn't have read you! What is the name of this evil writer? I will find you in the future to ask for an explanation!" Boruto cursed.

Boruto started looking for the author's name in every corner of the book.  Then, a name appears 'Written By Anonymous'.

"Damn it! This writer dares to satirize my relatives but dare not leave his name!"  Boruto growled.

"No, there might still be clues pointing to this damn person's name!"

Boruto really repeated his reading carefully.  Not only that, he also began to feel every page of the book to find any clues.  Then, he realized something.

"This page... the texture is quite different from the others. Judging from the toughness of the material, it is similar to the material for making jutsu scrolls. Could it be that there is a hidden jutsu here?"  Boruto's eyes flashed brightly after concluding.

Then, he investigated the page more thoroughly.  The first thing he thought was that in the written text there would be an encrypted cipher.  In the academy, basic cipher encryption materials he had studied.  However, he still couldn't find the red thread of any cipher.

"Could this be an advanced cipher? Only the Anbu and the Sensory Division have learned this cipher. No! Even if this were an advanced cipher, my understanding of the basic cipher would still uncover something. This is really weird...." Boruto started  doubted his own judgement.

"Wait! This is the material for the jutsu scroll. Maybe it has to be channeled by chakra?"

Boruto immediately touched the page and poured chakra into his palm.  However, still nothing happened.

"Strange. Nothing happened. This book mocking the blood of my relatives is really just an ordinary book? Wait... blood. Yes, blood. If Chakra alone isn't enough, how about an add mixture of blood?"

As if getting enlightened, Boruto immediately bit the tip of his thumb. Fresh blood came out of it.  Then, he returned to touching the page of the book as well as flowing chakra into his fingers.

Suddenly, a bunch of Atavistic Script appeared on top of the page.  The appearance of the Atavistic Character shows that Boruto's way is right to reveal the secret stored in this page.

Boruto was stunned and his eyes showed greed.  This writer actually kept a secret jutsu?

Not long after, Boruto's curiosity was answered.  What appeared next was a smaller sized book.  It is much like a book containing diaries of Shinobi on missions.

Boruto is not discouraged.  He thought maybe a secret jutsu would be obtained after reading this small note.  He started to flip through the first page of the book before frowning.

'Since you managed to find this note, it means I have died.  If you manage to find this note, it means you have the blood of the Uzumaki clan.  If you are currently on good terms with a member of the Hyuga Clan, then do not read further or you will doubt your relationship.  If you don't have any relation with the Hyuga Clan, reading this will make you hate them.  If you hate the Hyuga Clan, then please pass this note on to your descendants.  Remember, you are responsible for your own decisions!'

Boruto's eyes widened at the opening paragraph that was so strange.  At least from this, he could conclude one thing.  Most likely, there is no such thing as a secret jutsu in these records.

Boruto hesitated for a moment before making a decision.  "Humph, despicable writer! Let's see how you will slander my relatives this time."

'Hello my son.  This old man's name is Uzumaki Tenrou.  This name probably wouldn't raise any ripples.  However, this old man has another identity that is Black Hood in Anbu.  If our life period are too far apart, maybe you won't even be able to find out anything about my identity.  However, this old man was already alive before Konoha was founded.  And at 122 years old, this old man just wrote the book and notes you read.'

'This old man's life is not important, the most important thing is that this old man doesn't want to die with regrets.  Throughout his life, this old man has always been conflicted over whether to seek revenge on the enemies of our Uzumaki Clan or to just carry this hatred to the grave.'

'One day, this old man realized that he was no longer in his prime.  The hatred that had been buried for a long time was fading away with time.  There is no possibility of revenge in this old man's life.'

'Then, one night, this old man saw the full moon shining through the window.  This old man who is old can only lie on the bed and smile looking at the beautiful full moon.'

'Whether it was a god's blessing or a demon's curse, the full moon this old man saw turned as red as blood.  Then, this old man's consciousness was carried away to a very beautiful dream.'

'In the dream, this old man became young again.  Not only that, all of the people that this old man treasured had suddenly come back to life and looked to be at their prime.  In fact, the girl who had always taken care of this old man in his old age had suddenly become a beautiful adult women in the dream.'

'The happiest thing is, in that dream world, there is no such thing as the Hyuga Clan.  This old man is so happy as if he's been fighting for things that were really just his imagination.'

'Unfortunately, the sweet dreams didn't last long.  This old man woke up to reality.  This old man glanced around and saw quite a bit of destruction by some strange plant roots.'

'A shinobi rescued this old man and sent this old man back to his home village, namely Konoha.  Fortunately, the little girl is still alive and willing to take care of this old man there.'

'After deducing enough information, finally this old man knows that the beautiful dream is Jutsu Mugen Tsukuyomi.'

'Originally, this old man cursed the person who broke that beautiful jutsu.  However, knowing that it was Madara Uchiha who used it, this old man was angry.  This old man's hatred for Madara was immense.  However, not even the hatred towards Madara can outweigh the hatred towards the Hyuga Clan.'

'The Hyuga clan are rotten wolves....
