Chapter 27 - Unexpectedly Match Against a Master-Tier Streamer (1)

[Lollolol, poor Zizi, I heard that even within the S6 team, his rank seems to be the lowest]

[Haha, I ship him with XiaoXi. Zixi, doesn't this look nice?]

[Lmao, there is a cult ship about those two?!]

[What do you mean? Rival to lover troupe is famous, y'know?]

[Upstairs go back to see how Zizi's Shadow relentlessly killed XiaoXi last night and be at least ashamed of your words!]

Going through the barrage, Fu Yue couldn't help but shake his head at the fans' fantasies.

Every pro gamer including him has already gotten used to the fans' wild imaginations. In some scenarios, this was also a marketing strategy to promote the team.

No one was afraid of being misunderstood. In fact, everyone fanned the flame, even more, to sell meng to their fans.

Fu Yue experienced a lot of these situations in the past. Due to his face, he had a lot of ships with other players. Some even made a joke saying that they wouldn't mind turning gay for a pretty face like his.

Luckily, he had a big mind and could play along without feeling uncomfortable. Yet, he still underestimated human creativity.

Fu Yue still remembered the shock he felt after going through the content of those fanfictions about himself.

It was at that moment, that he realized how pure he was in this chaotic world...

"Match Found!"

Fortunately, the sound of a match being found interrupted Fu Yue's train of thought to stop recalling those forbidden books.

Coming into the lobby, Fu Yue was assigned to be on the red side on the 5th floor.

Regarding this arrangement, he was not worried about being the last one to pick. His purpose of being number 1 Sen has already been achieved that's why he was not desperate to grab Sen nowadays.

What's more, Sen has gotten picked a lot recently but his winrate was not that great as he was a team-reliant champ.

Fu Yue who was a Sen main couldn't help but lament, "Picking him while queuing alone is hard."

[Words spoken by the number 1 Sen himself lol]

[Haha it would be a disaster if you happened to bump into a national rank 1 Sen at that!]

Right as this message went out everyone's smile froze as they witnessed someone from the enemy team locked in Sen courageously...

[...]

[Press F to pay respect to that Sen]

[F]

[F]

.

.

.

Everyone still remembered vividly how Fu Yue abused the Sen player last time. Therefore, the moment they saw the enemy picked Sen as their mid-laner everyone silently lit a candle for that poor soul.

[What are the odds of running into a number 1 Sen while playing as a Sen just for fun?]

[Ignorance is bliss]

[Upstairs, I think it would have been better if that person knew he was fighting against a number 1 Sen. At the very least, they would feel less miserable about losing to him later on]

[True]

Fu Yue's ego was not that high so he would not get swept away by their compliments. He spoke up for his opponent, "In this rank, everyone should be above average so let's not assume things blindly."

[I like how humble you are Yueyue]

[My boy is still pure UwU]

[Mommy is proud of you, son!]

[My son hasn't gone astray yet from playing TOBH good, good]

Fu Yue was a bit dumbfounded by his mom powder.

Was he not fierce enough in the game for them to view him as an innocent child? Or their pink filter was too thick not to see how bad he was in the game?

[Yueyue, do you have any intention of rushing another hero to be number 1 on the national server?]

Finally seeing a normal topic Fu Yue quickly responded, "Have. I am thinking of rushing Mo.''

[Wow, basic is a must huh]

[Another mage? I guess he only knows how to play this role. As a game anchor, don't you feel ashamed?]

Seeing this comment, Fu Yue was not offended. He merely smiled, "Ashamed or not. Wait and see for yourself."

At this time, the last person on the enemy team locked in Shadow and changed his summoner spell to Smite showing that he was the jungler.

Probably, this person saw Zizi's Shadow last night and wanted to try their hands on this champ.

Shadow could be played in the mid-lane as well as in the jungle so Fu Yue was not surprised to see this pick.

His eyes were full of smiles as he searched for the hero that was on his mind for all this time.

"What a coincidence. I too got inspired from yesterday's match."

His words just fell and everyone watched in horror as Fu Yue locked in K, a glass cannon down in the mid-lane.

[What? He locked in a glass cannon with Shadow as a jungler???]

[Is he trying to replicate Zizi's Shadow and XiaoXi's K last match?]

[Uh oh! Yueyue, Yueyue, listen to me! I happen to catch a glimpse of Bear's stream and he is the enemy's jungler!]

[Seriously? Wait let me go and check!]

[Oh my god, Yueyue is going to have a hard time in this match then… RIP]

[Baby Yueyue, hang in there! Just pretend that you are going to get bitten by a crazy dog!]

While adjusting his runes and changing the summoner spells, Fu Yue posed a question in a curious tone, "Who is Bear?''

[*facepalm* Right, you just started so you do not know who he is]

[Yueyue, Listen. Bear is a Master-tier TOBH's game anchor, he is quite famous. Well, not for a good reason tho]

[I'm back! It is true! He just changed his ID again! I was so pissed that his crazy fans were shitting on Yueyue's pick and even bet on how many deaths Yueyue is going to have!]

[Bear likes to smurf and tilt one person then trash-talked them for amusement]

[I got matched against him once and I deleted the game right then and there]

[Yeah, he is a perfect example of why you don't play TOBH]

[Oof, he said that he is going to make Yueyue tilted so hard that he would live up to his name! No Inted Just Bad!]

[Wait, let me go and fight them there]

[Me too!]

Unlike the crowd's excitement, Fu Yue remained calm as he dissuaded them, "Do me a favor and don't swarm to his stream.''

What a joke, why should he help that kind of person gain audiences?

His voice finally woke up the water friends and they collectively reflected on their actions.

[Right, even if we go and shit-talk him, Bear won't even care!]

[At the end of the day, he would still gain viewers, so angry!]

[Yueyue, just farms safely under the turret, okay?]

Fu Yue stared speechlessly at the chat.

Should he be moved by their concern or be saddened because no one seemed to be optimistic about him?

"Farm under the turret? Heh as you wish."

[Why do I feel ominous for Bear for no reason? @@]

[Yueyue, for every kill you manage to land on Bear, I will gift you a courtyard!]

Whether this bet was made to tease him or not, Fu Yue did not care. He was even more motivated and excited for the upcoming game. The corner of his lips curled, and he mischievously said, "Remember your words. Don't come crying to me later on. I will make sure to empty your wallet."

As if it was not enough, he jokingly reminded others, "Everyone be the witness for me."

[Kkk, don't worry Yueyue I screenshots it]

[Me too @kitsune]

[Yueyue Jiayou!!!]

Amid the chat excitement, the game started and Fu Yue walked straight to the mid-lane.

There was no rule stating that only mages could be played in the mid-lane so picking a marksman was nothing odd.

If matching against Mo was terrible for Sen then farming against K was hell for him. It was an advantageous matchup for Fu Yue so it did not make any sense for him to play passively just because of Shadow.

However, this did not mean that he underestimated the enemy jungler.

Even though Bear had a bad reputation he should still have some skills to back himself up. Fu Yue was sure that choosing him as a target was calculated not based on a whim.

As stated before, K had a big wave clear advantage. Most of the time his wave would crash into the enemy's turret resulting in an ideal setup for Shadow to gank him.

It would be pretty humiliating to see K farm under his turret against Sen, right?

Unfortunately, Bear picked the wrong target and Fu Yue would not allow that scene to appear.

To be honest, Fu Yue even wished that Bear would gank him more often so that he could get more gold and gifts from that water friend.

Had Bear heard Fu Yue's thoughts he would curse at him for sure. Fortunately, he did not know that he was fighting against another game anchor, and at this time, he still happily regarded K as his piggy bank.

Bear even wondered how many deaths would he be able to kill K before the enemy team surrendered.

Alas, it's good to be able to dream big.

Back to the present, the player behind Sen was not a pure rookie so he fared much better than the previous Sen in his past game.

He knew his limit and allowed the wave to be pushed toward him waiting for an opportunity to strike back with the help of his jungler, Shadow.

Seeing Sen hovered under his turret refusing to come out, Fu Yue was not impatient.

K's max range spell was much bigger than Sen. Even if the latter were to stay under his turret, K could still poke him without pulling turret aggro.

To farm, Sen needed to level up his W first so Fu Yue did not need to be wary of his Q at level 1.

K's Q was a skillshot that dealt quite a lot of damage in a straight line. His W shot a smoke bomb that could blind the enemy within the small circular area. His E was a dash ability to reposition himself while his R was a headshot that locked onto the target within a large range.

His passive: K would gain an ammo stack whenever he hit his abilities onto the enemy champions which slowly stacked to increase his auto attack range.

The stack had no cap so it was not an understatement to say that in the late game, K could hit the turret outside of its range.

Nonetheless, K was extremely vulnerable and needed a lot of peeling.

K was one of the lowest base-health champions in TOBH so even if you dodged 3 out of the 5 spells thrown at you, you could still die instantly.

In the community, K's mains were said to live the life of a mosquito. He was annoying as hell but one slap was all it took to kill him.

Unlike Zizi who liked to play mages, Fu Yue generally liked to play unique roles in the mid-lane so he was more like a jack of all trades.

In this match, for example, Fu Yue intended to play K no matter what matchup he was up against. It was due to XiaoXi's games yesterday that made him think that putting K in the mid-lane would accelerate the pace of the game by a lot.

Fu Yue wanted to experiment with this once he got back home. Even though having been matched against a Master-tier game anchor was not on his agenda, he was not worried like his fans were.

To be precise, Fu Yue who has been playing against Challengers in the past did not think much of a mere Master-tier player.
