Tom was an avid gamer and liked playing a game called Sea of Thieves. Due to this experience, he knew all sorts of tactical maneuvers.
So, with a rapidly gaining battleship, Keo did the only smart thing, he jumped of Appa's back into the freezing cold water.
--This is colder than any ice bath I've ever done; holy shit--
Now all he had to do was wait, it didn't take long, and Keo quickly swan to position. The bare bones ladder was freezing to the touch, and it wasn't pleasant to be pulled by a rapidly moving vessel.
--I need to find some engine room and time to talk to Iroh. I love him \( ͡❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛)/--
Keo was on the deck, but two fire nation soldiers, smoking while leaning on the railing, blocked his path leading to the ship's interior, smoking. Keo slowly inched behind them, but just as he was about to be in the clear, one of the soldier's cigs blew out. Reaching into his pocket to find another smoke, Keo was caught. Keo quickly dragged some water droplets up - luckily some of the salt water landed in the soldier's eyes causing their burst of flame to go awry. Keo used this opportunity to make a frantic charge and push one of the soldiers off. The other soldier attempted to summon some flames -- but was quickly disposed of with a sloppy haymaker from Keo.
The fire nation soldiers -- who were used to intimidating villagers were no match for a veteran street fighter like Keo, who had been in hundreds of scrapes in the many crowded foster homes he had lived in. Keo's hardened body - that spent its days working in the cold definitely helped.
Shouts came from the front deck, and Keo made a dash through the hatch. A scent found its way into Keos' nose - jasmine tea and he followed it into a calm room with an old man sitting in the middle.
Iroh looked at Keo with a knowing gaze and invited him to sit.
(◠‿◠) "What has brought you into my room today, young waterbender?"
Keo calmly sat down, and politely accepted some tea.
"I probably killed two people today, Iroh I'm conflicted, they were bad for the world around them, objectively but all people can become better, right?"
"Your attitude is refreshing, killing is much too common in this world, but - it is very hard too do good during times like these without ending others lives."
--I have already noticed some differences between the show and this world, its not a show for kids but a brutal world full -- those lighthearted characters aren't the same as their counterparts in this reality.--
Suddenly someone knocked on Irohs' door Only to be met with a response from Iroh telling hi, to go away.
"I was nice to have tea with you. You'd best be going; my foolish nephew can be quite moody :), the engine room is down the stairs to the left," said Iroh just as Keo heard footsteps exiting the interior of the ship.
"Thank you for the tea!"
Keo found the engine room; it reeked of oil and smoke and was filled with loud machines.
--hmm, I know an effortless way to shut this thing down--
Crash! The main engine was finally broken; fire nation soldiers would quickly come to investigate the source of this disturbance, so Keo rushed out of the back exit past a perplexed group of fire benders - and dived into the ocean.
Keo was always a good swimmer; even a bit of water bending got him out of range of the fire benders' bows.
"You incompetent FUCKS!" yelled prince Zuko, as he helplessly watched Keo being picked up by Appa.
