Chapter 2 - The Revenant's Journey

As John's soul started its travel to reincarnate in a fantasy universe, it encountered the angel of death Azrael that had come to reap John's soul and prepare it to enter the cycle of rebirth in the same universe itself.

Azrael realized that John's soul was behaving in a way that was completely out of the norm for a soul. Unlike other souls that Azrael encountered, this soul was trying to leave the current universe and go to another completely different universe. Azrael was tasked with trapping the soul and sending it to the rebirth cycle within the same universe, but John's soul was not going to be contained so easily. Azrael used its chaos energy to try and stop and also trap the John's soul, it instead absorbed the energy and broke free. Azrael gave up pursuit on John's soul and went to reap other souls.

John's soul traveled and journeyed through many planets, solar systems, galaxies, and clusters, searching for the perfect host and it had finally reached the end of the universe and went inside the universe in which the soul detected energies like mana and ether that were fundamentals of fantasy cliche. And along the way, the soul encountered the Administrator of the Universe "Azah'rath".

The Administrator was normally a benevolent being to the residents of his universe, but became malevolent when it came to the other dimensional intruders such as John's soul, the administrator always captured souls and beings from the other universes and dimensions and forced his will upon them, turning them into slaves. When he encountered John's soul, he attempted to do the same to him, using his divine energy to make the soul his slave. But the soul simply absorbed Azah'rath's energy and did not even pay any attention to the mighty being and continued on its journey, this made Azah'rath very angry and at the same time was very confused.

Azah'rath tried to locate the soul but all his efforts were in vain as John's soul had already arrived its destination in a planet called Terraqov.

Terraqov, a world not too different from our own the Earth, but with a twist. Instead of separated continents, the land masses of Terraqov have combined to form a single, massive supercontinent known as Pangea. Pangea is a land of diverse landscapes, from towering mountains to sprawling deserts, and everything in between. The climate varies greatly, from tropical regions near the equator to frozen tundras near the poles.

But what sets Terraqov apart from Earth is its celestial configuration. The planet has not one, but two moons, each orbiting the planet and casting their light upon the world below. These moons have a profound effect on Terraqov, affecting the tides and the weather patterns. Some of the inhabitants of Terraqov believe that the moons have a spiritual significance as well, and worship them as gods.

This is the destination, the fantasy world John's soul has arrived to.

The world of Terraqov is a rich and fantastical place, filled with magical elements that are both familiar and unique to this world. The most abundant of these magical energies is mana, a shimmering, ethereal force that pervades the world and allows for the use of magic. For those who possess the ability to control mana, cannot only control the elements but also manifest them out of nothing, but are limited only to elemental magic.

Alongside mana, there exists another type of energy known as ether, which is much rarer and more powerful. Unlike mana, which is abundant and readily accessible, ether is scarce and only a select few possess the ability to harness it, the ones who have the ability to harness ether have the power to control and manifest light magic which is mainly healing magic and dark magic which mainly is curse magic. Those who can control ether are often viewed with fear and awe, for their abilities are far beyond what mere mortals can achieve.

Beyond even ether and mana lies the most powerful and mysterious of all energies - the primordial energies of chaos and divine. These energies are not found in the world in the same way as mana or ether, and only the most powerful and advanced entities of the universe - the cosmic level beings - can harness them. These energies are raw, untamed, and capable of bringing about immense destruction and change. They are often used for purposes beyond the understanding of mere mortals, but those who possess the knowledge to control these energies are feared and respected throughout the world.
