Chapter 4 - A New Life

I, John, was just born into this world. The light was too bright for me to open my eyes and take in my surroundings. But I could feel the warmth of my mother's embrace and the beating of my father's heart as they held me close.

"Oh, look at him. He looks just like you darling" my mother cooed to my father.

"Nonsense. He has beautiful black hair just like yours sweetie," my father replied, trying to hide the pride in his voice.

"You're always so calm, even now. But I can see how happy you are inside," my mother teased.

"I may be calm, but I'm not a stone. I am overjoyed to see our son," my father replied, his voice filled with pride and happiness.

"What should we name him?" my father asked, a hint of nervousness in his voice.

"How about Kael?" he suggested after some intense thinking, but as soon as the name left his lips, I let out a cry. Why? because i know that the family name is Gul and in no way does Kael Gul sound good to me.

My mother giggled. "Oh, looks like he doesn't like that name," she teased.

"What about Damian?" my father tried again, but once more, I let out a cry of protest. "Damn, my father really has no naming sense at all". I thought to myself.

"Haha, it seems like your son doesn't agree with your choices," my mother said, a hint of amusement in her voice.

"Zeref?" my father suggested, but once again, I cried out in opposition.

"Darling, how about I give it a try?" my mother said, with a smug face and her eyes twinkling. "How does Azrah'el sound?" she suggested, and to both of their surprise, I didn't cry out this time.

"Azrah'el? It suits the family name Gul, doesn't it?" my father said, a smile spreading across his face.

"Yes, it does. Azrah'el Gul, it has a nice ring to it," my mother said, her smile matching my father's.

And so, I was named Azrah'el Gul, a name that I would carry with me for the rest of my life.

I slowly opened my eyes and adjusted myself to the light surrounding me, and the first thing I was greeted with was the two most beautiful figures I had ever seen, even in my past life. My mother and father stood before me, their radiance and beauty nearly blinding me with its intensity.

"Oh, look at him, he's opening his eyes, his eyes have the same colour as yours darling." my mother cooed, her fair, pale complexion shining like the moon and her black hair cascading down her back like a river of darkness. Her golden amber eyes sparkled with joy as she looked at me, the child she had brought into the world.

My father, on the other hand, stood proud and tall, his fair, vibrant complexion and gorgeous white hair contrasting with the red of his ruby-like eyes. His muscular frame and chiseled jaw were a testament to his strength, and I couldn't help but feel proud knowing that I was his son.

As I lay there, taking in and admiring the beauty of my parents, I couldn't help but feel a sense of impatience within me. I couldn't wait to look at myself in the mirror and also anticipate how the grown up version of me would look like, knowing that I was born from the two angel-like beings such as these.

As they both looked down at me with love in their eyes, I knew that I was in good hands. Surrounded by the love of my parents, I couldn't help but feel grateful and content, knowing that I was born into this world with two of the most beautiful beings as my parents.
