"Are you avoiding me?"
May stared at the wall clock as it continued to tick aimlessly. She had been waiting for two hours now and pondered about why he was taking long.
In the mansion, there existed two porch thresholds. The front and back. Currently, she was sitting on the bench on the back porch, awaiting his visit, like a dutiful wife.
The clouds blanketed the sky and the air got cold and addictive as if it would rain at any moment. May was very sensitive and would catch a fever at any chance whenever she met with a cold. If it had been her previous self, she'd be cursing him and gone to give a piece of her mind for wasting her time, but this was a new person. A new being that wants to give his love a try, and forget whatever had happened to her. All the pain, betrayal, and hatred. She wanted to feel loved and pampered by a lover.
Eventually, the rough breeze wafted her body and she fell asleep foolishly. A beat later, Xavier arrived at the porch only to see the woman without being covered with a blanket on the bench. Her hair flew to the side while her head tilted to the other. She slept so peacefully with no slight care of the world.
He thought she looked cute.
Xavier lingered on his standing spot for a long time as he kept an eagle eye on her every movement. How her chest heaved, her lean legs twitched, and her mouth released a cute snore. If he wasn't mesmerized, it was a big fat lie, because every motion of hers moved him. His feet also couldn't stay as they ambled off, to her.
"When did you become this foolish?"
He took his dark blue suit off and sheathed her legs. He leaned against her face while he squatted down as she had taken the entire space on the bench.
"What did you mean back there?" He whispered audibly. It was just four in the evening, yet the atmosphere was getting darker, probably because it would soon start to rain.
May spun her face to the other side, but this time, her hair had camouflaged her whole face. Xavier scoffed "Even in your sleep, you tend to move my heart"
Time seemed to pass over for him to finally be with the woman he loved. Sensing the peace swathing her body, his possessive eyes gazed at her, hard, as if scared she'd run off.
"I wonder what mischievous plans go on in such a slow-minded brain like yours! You aren't stupid after all, at the very least"
A sudden thought approached his mind. His eyes which were gaping directly at her eyes, now, were dropped to the presence of her opened lips. He gulped, at the same time, bewitched by those soft lips he missed and wanted to suck and grapple to his heart's content. The last time he tasted them was two days heretofore.
"Last time" He looked back at her sleepy face and asked permission "Let me kiss you for the last time"
May unexpectedly whined in her sleep, but Xavier took that as a positive response.
He stood on his two feet. Due to his long legs, he found it difficult to bend over the bench, which was just as slant as the woman slept. Nevertheless, he barred her between his arms and tipped his anticipated face towards her slowly.
With their faces meters away, he could feel her breath and his heart banging against his chest. May was oblivious to the sinful thoughts in Xavier's mind, while she was having a wet dream. In her dream, she saw Xavier crash his lips over hers and kissed her breathlessly, in response, she locked her arms around his neck. That felt surreal.
In the dream, she suddenly muttered "I wish to never wake up anymore, but to have your lips drain me intensely" and she got the wish, as the man sucked and nibbled her moist lips again and again. She held tightly unto him and reciprocated the hot kiss. As they quelled from the passionate kiss, May smiled happily and said "If only you were not a dream...if only I had kissed you for real, then...then I won't feel this pain gathering around my chest"
Xavier heard her words ostensibly. Again, she was making him overthink as if she were in love with him when she wasn't. He realized he went too far and pulled away from her body, however, May had her intentions.
"Since you are merely a dream...I should at least fulfill the promise" Her face was flushed even in the cold, but she stuck with never letting him go. Confused, Xavier pinched her cheeks, which voluntarily brought her back to earth.
"Ouch!! Do you want to die!!!" She cussed while soothing the pain on her cheek. She blinked her eyes groggily, but those peerless hazel eyes narrowed in trepidation.
"You are here? Wait!! Wasn't that a dream?" As if she summarized and evaluated the dream, her eyes jolted right at him in surprise.
"You...you kissed me? Then you should take responsibility" She simply looked at him with the hope that he had forgotten her rejection. But to her disappointment, the bland look on his face turned from disquiet into one of revulsion and derision.
Before she knew it, he thoroughly towed away from her body and went around to leave.
"You must feel hostility toward me now, right? But why'd you kiss me? Do you still like me?" Here she was again, feeling too great about herself.
"You should get back inside, or you'll catch a cold" was Xavier's response. He didn't even blink an eye as his back was against her.
"I shall get one then, and have you take responsibility" She frowned and sat upright on the bench. Her needy eyes following his silhouette.
"Then do as you please" Xavier crudely muttered and lifted his feet to leave when May hurriedly shouted "What can I do? Anything? What should I do to become that person? I wish to become your woman, Xavier...I want to build a family with you and no one else. I was a bit irrational in the past, but I like you now. If it is about father, I'll convince..."
"Aren't you too full of yourself now?" Xavier spoke arrogantly. The more lies she spewed, angered him. He preferred she shut up than yell at her.
"I'm only speaking the truth" She pouted "I only want to give myself a chance, is it wrong??"
"So turning me into a substitute is enough by you...why don't you turn to that stranger you had slept comfortably with? Why do you still need me, your elder brother?" with that said, he was gone in a flash.
May sighed deeply "I should have believed you will be a little hard to get...but when will you ever...should I kidnap you?"
That thought lingered deeply.
