That afternoon.
[At Blue Y international airport]
"I need a ticket to Maiden Town City, please hurry" requested a choked voice.
"Please give me a moment to check Ma'am," The steward uttered politely and looked at the screen before him, typing into the computer.
The steward sneaked a look at the woman when she wasn't looking, and a blush swept down his cheeks. He thought it wasn't an everyday routine to find a lady with her bare face, looking exceptionally pretty. When she gazed back at him with those witches' spell eyes, he cleared his throat and notified "There were just four tickets left, you are lucky to have been here earlier. Two was just taken"
The woman gave a nod.
"However, the economy class is full. Would you like to settle do the business class or shall I schedule you for tomorrow?"
The excitement on her face draped instantly as she exclaimed "Tomorrow?"
Tomorrow was not an option for her. If she delayed a day longer in the City, she might never get the chance to leave or execute her plans to woo that man.
"I'll settle with business class then" She clarified. She had the money anyway. Suddenly she heard the gasps of the people in the airport. They all turned their attention to something, but she was unbothered.
The steward handed her a ticket. She quickly thanked him and gripped her boarding pass tightly in her hand, rushing towards the security checkpoint in a haste, without looking back. Right now, the only thought on her mind was to pursue that man. Her Grandmother gave her blessings, and she ventured to herself to not disappoint the Old woman.
Never!!
After clearing her migration, she went to the nearest information panel for flight information. As soon as she got there, the huge screen flickered with an update.
Boarding Time Flight to Maiden Town City - Thirty Minutes To Go.
May pierced her eyes into the screen as if wanting it to reduce the time left. With each passing second, she would stare at the screen and the travelers around her. Very quiet soon, the buzz of her phone diverted her. In case of hesitance, she purposely put the phone on silent mode. Scared of what might come next, she ignored picking up the phone. But it's like the phone had a mind of its own because it kept on humming inside her pocket. Imperatively, she took out the phone and was stunned by the number of calls and messages.
5 missed calls from her father. 3 from her best friend and a message from him. He sent a message to her. Her cheeks reddened by the sweet intonation. She could not stop grinning from ear to ear until she opened his message on Instagram and read it.
[Stay Away From Me]
Those words alone were simple and short, yet heart-piercing. She felt agitated and opened her lips to gasp for air. She never expected his words to turn out to be rude. Was it enjoyable breaking her heart every time? Yes! She agreed she started it first, but as a good gentleman, she believed he wouldn't hold any grudge because she thought he still loved her. Or did he not?
In the middle of her grief, a voice from the screen declared openly "Flight to Maiden Town City will begin. All attendants are to move"
May smiled bitterly "Do I still have to hope?"
-----------------------------------
At that same point in time inside the airport.
A pair of two young men majestically walked inside the crowded airport to their terminal. One of the men was clasping the luggage and the plane tickets. He was wearing a grey suit and black trousers with a vintage shoes.
The other man carried a gothic aura around his body as he stuck his walking stick to the tiled floor. People from every corner of the airport looked at his graceful lenient walk and gasped, most especially the women. He was wearing an opaque polo and white trouser, with the same vintage shoe as the previous man. Not to forget, he also put sunglasses on. He looked like a son of the royal family.
"Ray, are we there yet?" The man with the tickets heard his name and coughed out "Not yet"
The man became irritated and annoyed as he gritted "I can feel their disgusting eyes on me"
Mr. Ray Darkwood agreed with the man for the first time. Even without his eyes, he could still feel the piercing look of those people.
"Boss, they are not looking here" He tried to convince and reason out with the man.
"Then I am lying?" The man breathed out in an irritated tone, which was clear on his face. The aura around him escalated and those people who wouldn't stop staring quickly withdrew their faces in fear. His presence alone had an unusual effect inside the airport.
"C'mon, do I have to drag you to hasten your feet? I have no eyes yet I have a better sense"
Mr. Darkwood realized that he wouldn't be able to escape his boss' scolding that afternoon.
"Boss, slow down. We will be there on time" He said catching his breath. Instead of listening to his assistant, the man quickened his steps again, leaving the other man withering out of speech.
"Remember Ray, time waits for no one" That man blurted.
As those men finally entered the flight, Mr. Darkwood checked their seat numbers.
"Here, boss" He directed the man to the proper seat and helped him fold his cane. Mr. Darkwood kept their luggage safely and sat on the seat next to the cold man.
"Here, boss...refreshments"
"I hate sweets" came the arrogant words of his boss again. Feeling depressed, the assistant minded his business and leaned against the seat to pertain the ache in his head. As more time went by, the aura around his boss excessively increased.
"Mr. Dargan, are you..."
"She is here"
"Uh"
"The rose mixed with caramel honey"
"So?"
"Bring her to me"
