As Fiona lifted her tray from the counter and carried it to her usual seat with Bam Bam, she thought of Dominic. She'd thought of him all through the night laying on her bed and in the shower earlier that morning. He'd been running through her mind ever since she'd accepted she had feelings for him, only the previous night. Unconsciously, her eyes search for him among the crowd in the dining hall, though she did not expect to see him. He never ate in the hall. Bam Bam, who had noticed her roommate had been very absent-minded lately, watched her approach. The pixie resolved within herself that she would ask why once she arrived, but Fiona was blocked by a bulky orc.
Halting her steps, Fiona gazed up at the face of the monster that had suddenly stepped in her path. He towered above her and was five times her size. His face resembled that of a big, with large canines sticking out his bottom lip, but his body was humanoid. He appeared angry.
