Stargene Police station.
For the past hour, it was as though all hell-harbored had been unleashed in the station because inspectors and even the chief director were drenched in sweat in an onerous situation.
"Please calm down, your son will be safe" The director spoke undoubtedly for the umpteenth time to the woman screaming for hours and ranting about the disappearance of her son.
"Calm down!!! What are the governments doing huh? The taxes we pay are for what? For you sons of a b**ch to sit around and do nothing whenever a crisis arises. For an hour now, all you have been conveying is... Calm down!! How should I f**king calm myself down when my seven-year-old son is out there in a world of bastards!! Alone!" The beautiful woman took her sunglasses off and slammed her hands strongly on the director's desk.
"Mrs. Li, the inspectors are already out there searching for the missing kids, can you not make a mountain out of a molehill?" He groaned, but unfortunately, at the fury written over her face, the director regretted blurting his mouth.
Mrs. Li scoffed "I see, a mountain out of a molehill...Let's see maybe after you have been burglarized off a rank, you'll still have the guts to innovate such idioms to me"
In a panic, the director quickly apologized "My bad, Mrs. Li...how can I offend such an influential person? I am guilelessly sorry"
At a side, Chun Hua was gritting her teeth and biting her lips nervously. She was also blaming herself for being negligent. The drama unfolding before her eyes didn't make her feel any better. She understood that woman's feelings because she too wanted to scream at the director. But the missing of her daughter from the beginning was all on her. If she hadn't left and....she had no right to reprimand anyone but herself.
"Only birds with the same feathers flock together, Miss Chun... Oops my bad, Mrs. Mo"
Chun Hua turned her gaze to the woman. Her chestnut hair cascaded behind her back, eyes as mischievous as the sky, and lips....she couldn't find the right suitable words to express them.
"You know me?" Chun Hua tried to remain sane.
Mrs. Li laughed "Know you?" she furrowed her brows like she had heard the funniest question in her entire life "Everyone knows you...did you think looking plain and dressing so spartan concealed your real identity?"
Chun Hua was sure she never had any interaction with this woman three years back. She pulled a fake smile unto her face, while her feet were shivering, at the thought of her lost daughter.
Mrs. Li rolled her eyes and sat on the empty seat beside Chun Hua "I didn't expect to be forgotten so soon, you know"
"The kids will be found in no time" The director apprised and hastily walked out of the suffocating room. Mrs. Li threw a throttle dagger at his relapsing back and sighed "That old man is getting on my nerves..." she exhaled and put her focus back on Chun Hua.
"So, why did you abandon Wei Yuze that day? Did he cheat on you or something? From his crazy love back then, I doubt it"
Chun Hua frowned at the unthoughtful interrogation" Excuse me, but will you mind leaving me alone?"
Mrs. Li clicked her tongue "That's why you were always hated back in school...acting all slutty!! I bet he hasn't met you...does he know you are with his cousin's daughter? Mo Tiling...He went beyond my expectations. He cheated behind his brother's back, that was new. I thought he'd end up proposing marriage to that girl from the slums...was he bored? After taking fun from her body?"
"NEVER!! NEVER SPEAK OF HER WITH DISRESPECT... I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE THAT EVEN AT THE MENTION OF YOUR NAME, THE DIRECTOR SHIVERS... I DON'T CARE BUT NEVER SPEAK OF HER....." Chun Hua warned coldly. For the first time, those callow set of beautiful eyes dimmed in an unspoken sheen. The fire emitting from those eyes was made to char the other woman.
Mrs. Li fisted her hands into a ball at such disrespect and said "You are no different from her...a bitch and another dirty bitch"
"Mama"
Chun Hua swallowed her anger and looked behind Mrs. Li and the tears she had been holding, suddenly erupted back and flowed aimlessly. She left the seat and drifted in a rush to her daughter and embraced her tightly.
"I told you not to move...why? You scared mama to the bones...how do you expect mama to live without you when you are all she has? Never do that again"
The scared girl embraced her mother back and cried too.
Mrs. Li watched the beautiful moment of mother and daughter. She felt eerie all over that Chun Hua could have a personality like that. She scoffed woefully and thought bitterly "What a sickening way to atone for your sins!!"
"Li Muchen, hurry your ass and follow behind me" She put her sunglasses back on and exited the station with the same arrogant attitude. The young boy timidly followed behind, but before he parted, he ran towards the little girl and passed to her his most precious toy, and mumbled into her ear "The toy will connect the both of us again...goodbye" he left.
Chun Hua nabbed the squishy toy from her hand and desecrated it wherever it went. Mo Mian constricted her eyes and opened her little mouth to speak but Chun Hua beat her to it. She precautioned "Never encounter him and anyone related... If by chance you see him dubbing your name, anytime, anywhere...run away ok"

Chun Hua caressed her chubby cheeks "I'll buy one for you"
She held her daughter's hand and felt grateful to the cops who brought her back safely and sound. She even went to thank the director "I'll forever be grateful to you"
Mo Mian, while her mother had gone to the director's office, blinked cutely at one of the cops, who was just on his first day as an intern. Then she pointed at the toy unfurled lifeless on the ground by his leg "I want that"
The cop, both embarrassed and won by her adorable face, quickly shook his head "She said not to take it"
When it looked like she was basically in tears, he awkwardly clutched the toy and handed it discreetly to her "You know to hide and seek, right?"
Mo Mian bounced her head excitedly "The toy and your mother are playing hide and seek ok...never let her discover your toy hmmm? It is yours"
"Baby, let's leave"
Horrified, the young intern pitched the toy inside the pocket of Mianmian's sweater and glid away. He smiled at her and waved goodbye.
"Kids," He thought.
